Gorgeous photo! That's only about 45 minutes west of us on I-80 here in the lovely area of the midwest known as Tornado Alley! We'll get to see those kinds of clouds for the next 2+ months!

The terror of weather.........
I saw the results in OK this morning.
This particular tornado was 20 MILES wide so you can imagine its
striking capability....packing winds in excess of 150 mph...I don't know how people can stand to live in tornado belts. Mom and I were traveling in Tornado Alley during May one year and did not even realize what it meant when the skies turned black suddenly.........until we got to our motel, I felt we ought to stop right away, and saw the RED banner across bottom of the tv screen warning of a tornado.
BTW the only time I have been in 150mph winds is during typhoon Gloria when I lived on Taiwan. It sounded like a freight train as she came roaring through our area

I tripped over these while looking at volcano photos! Yeah, lightning storms can be beautiful.

I'm content to look at photos of tornadoes. have no desire to see the real thing!

I was wondering if you'd recognize the area. I thought of you instantly when I saw Nebraska!
