Stargate Atlantis: "Harmony" review (SPOILERS)

A spoiler ridden review of Stargate Atlantis episode "Harmony."

or

Sheppard and McKay's Adventures in Babysitting

Wow, who would have thought one would feel absolute sympathy for Rodney McKay?

The ads were so-so, and it could have easily been this year's "The Tower,"  but it was well written and the Sheppard-McKay snark was in high gear, and I gotta admit, Rodney's suggestion of stunning the kid was so funny, cuz you could see Sheppard was actually thinking about it! Yeah, Harmony's like a little female Rodney McKay, well, with the ego, not the brains.

Shall do a running commentary... and it won't be huge.

"When you get cranky, you get hit." Heh..

And Rodney's nose leads them to the cave with the kid cooking up dinner.

Ohmygawd, Harmony was hitting on Sheppard. "One day I'll need a king." Bwahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!

And Harmony asking Rodney about love? And then Rodney promises not to get in the way of Harmony pursuing Sheppard? Aw, how sweet, and so funny.  Snort.

Oh, and Jerry Penacoli from EXTRA was the second Genii taht Shepaprd stunned.

Loved how Shepaprd called Harmony "little lady."

And how Harmony thinks Sheppard is an idiot for taking her pendant, but now she adores McKay for saving her.

OHMYGAWD, THE PAINTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bwahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Things learned from this episode. Rodney and Katie aren't an item anymore, at least not the way he was talking about the sisters.
Women of all ages fall for Sheppard ;)
And for McKay ;)

This was funny!!!!

I have to say I liked it as well.

Especially when McKay called Shep a kiss ass at the end. :)

It was fantastic, I was laughing the whole way through. I could barely control myself. Ah, what a great hour that was.

God I hated the painting thing and the whole bit after John used the drones. It was stupid, to me, and just gave me a bad taste after having enjoyed the McShep and the ep itself to that point. Figures.

That painting had me in tears. I wasn't sure what to expect. I figured it'd be funny, but the way they painted Sheppard cowering behind the ruin? Oh my God! I laughed so hard, I think I hurt something!

If John and Rodney had a daughter, her name would be Harmony. Also, John is a Queen...it's in canon now :P

I thought the painting was hysterical and so typical for a teenager - she had it painted from her point of view and Rodney threw himself over her to save her life. I didn't expect the kid to be a brat, but her snark with McKay was a scream.

Yes! Lowering expectations works again! I expected to hate this episode. I enjoyed it!

It's all David Hewlett and Joe Flanigan: their faces were priceless just so many times! Yeah, Rodney was getting the short end of the stick until the end--and arguably even then, if Harmony keeps chasing him, poor guy. ;-)

That was such a funny episode.
I want that portrait in my room!!
"That's pretty much how I remember it."
