Where I want to be...

It's cold outside. No, not from the song. It is cold outside, colder than I thought it would be, and gray and the lawn is littered with leaves and bits of bambi's bones. Anyway, got an email from National Geographic, who always sends cool stuff, and got this marvelous photo which is now my desktop. Yes, i want to be there. Don't care if manta rays are in the water with me, it looks nice and calm and warm :)

You can find this photo and many more cool shots for desktops at http://photography.nationalgeographic.com/photography/index.html

I know. When I got that, I said "Desktop! Must put up as desktop!" and then must win Powerball and go to the French Polynesia...

Oooo, count me in! I even have a sea kayak....

Kayaking. Sigh. I am sooooo ready for winter to end.

I'd like a simple rubber inner tube to float in :)

Um, did I forget to mention that my forward cargo hatch would be filled with margaritas, with multiple straws? And that my kayak can carry 300 lbs of gear.....?

[identity profile] wraithfodder.livejournal.com 2008-03-30 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh? then scratch the inner tube. i'll take your kayak!

Would now be a bad time to tell you I set sail for the Eastern Caribbean in 14 days?

[identity profile] wraithfodder.livejournal.com 2008-03-30 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup. Send a postcard, take PICTURES! Lots!

We still have snow on the ground...sigh this is lovely.

*thinks about it with a fruity drink*

We have now snow, which I wish we did, as then I wouldn't be yanking ticks off the dog. Poor thing.

Ah, yes, me and Rodney ... only I'm not sure I'd get him in the water ... are there whales there?! Snerk! Not to mention germs...

Oh well, in my dreams!

Hy, he'd be safe. Looks like knee deep water. Just have to worry about jellyfish, etc. ;)

It's actually warm here. . .wait, it's mostly ALWAYS warm here! Man, I wish I could live there, the water looks brilliantly pretty!

[identity profile] wraithfodder.livejournal.com 2008-03-30 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
I really want to visit some place with water THAT clear!

[identity profile] parislove27.livejournal.com 2008-03-30 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
In the United States-no, can't find that here!

Maybe Hawaii-idk-but not here in Texas! The clearest the water ever gets is in my swimming pool. (grins)
