TBH they said pretty much the same thing about Black Smokers "there can be no life...its inhospitable and hostile to life yada..yada..yada.." and what did they find.. scores of shrimp things living on the cones... just goes to show.. just when you think you have mother nature pegged.. she throws out a duck billed platypus..
