More on Ben Browder's HELLCATS show...

I need a Ben Browder icon. ANy suggestions? Anyway...

HELLCATS (The CW) – Ben Browder (“Stargate SG-1″) has joined the cast of the presentation, a drama set in the world of competitive college cheerleading. He’ll reportedly play Red Irvine, Lancer University’s football coach, “a handsome rogue who never lost the boyishness of youth.” He and the Hellcats coach Vanessa Hodge (Sharon Leal) share a history – they had an affair while he, then married at the time, was an assistant coach and she was cheer captain – and now he wants payback (she dumped him after he left his wife without telling her) in the form of getting her fired after one of the Hellcats (Heather Hemmens) gets hurt. Aly Michalka, Ashley Tisdale, Elena Esovolova, Gail O’Grady, Matt Barr and Robbie Jones also star. Allan Arkush is directing the CBS Television Studios/Warner Bros. Television-based project from a script by Kevin Murphy.

Wow. Sounds just like the kind of show I'd never watch, even if you paid me (okay, well, maybe if you paid me; but it'd have to be a lot.) Darn it. I miss Ben almost as much as I miss JF.

I know. I love Ben! Watched Farscape when it first aired, but even Ben isn't enough for me to watch such..well, that.

Glad he has new work in this tough field. Thanks WF for the post! You are the queen of all things Stargate news.

Ha, yes, second that opinion(or is that thirded?). I love BB - loved him both as Mitchell and as Crichton - but I can't see myself watching this. It's too bad, but I hope the show is successful for his sake anyway.

Thanks for the news! :)

Sounds like a pot boiler - sure I'll give it a try and see what it's like; I've already sold my soul by watching the Vampire Diaries so I can at least check out the pilot. LOL

I think I can see myself taping it and watching Ben's parts, but that's about it. I'm glad he's working, but darned, why can't they make some fantastic new scifi series and get him and Joe Flanigan on it, or a cop show...

Heh, good luck! I've seen the ads for VD but that's about it.

I have to admit, when I read the news I was like 'hellcats, wth is that' and then I saw the blurb about '...cheerleading show...' and cried a little inside. I love BB but that is not a show I'd watch. I don't think I could even do it for JF, though it'd be a close one LOL.

It's not a show I'd watch either, but I probably could stand recording and checking out Ben's scenes.
