And this is the car...

That caused me to get rear-ended. I still don't know what happened - there were no skid marks that any of us could see. Anyway, this hybrid slammed fast and hard into an SUV, which was then propelled into the rear of my car. All in all, I was the luckiest. The hybrid is toast, and honestly, with the front and rear damage to the SUV, they might total it. I still have to deal with insurance and auto body shops to determine the extent of damage to my Civic. Wreckage from the hybrid was scattered across both lanes and into people's yards and driveways.

Good grief! You're lucky you had an SUV between yourself and this hybrid. Sounds like the hybrid driver took their eyes off the road. We all do it and we know we shouldn't (reaching for something, telling the kids to knock it off, drinking a cup of coffee, the phone). I drive, a lot, about a 1000 mile a month, this pic is a good reminder to pay attention and remember that you never know what the other guy is going to do. Glad you're okay.

Yeah. Still waiting for report to see what happened (why car A hit car B which then hit me, Car C). Definitely glad I wasn't in the sandwich position. Would have totalled the car, I'm sure.
