Pictures gone

I finally come over here, figure things are good, and then expletive-deleted Photobucket locks out all my pics. Holding them hostage basically. I had heard some ruckus but hadn't seen a loss on my site until today. Geez, I have HUNDREDS of pictures I'd have to reload and re-establish links, so honestly don't know what to do. So pissed off at PB. I hope everybody just leaves them in droves and they go under. Petty thing to say but that's how I feel at the moment. Sigh.

Any suggestions for photo hosting sites that are good and don't cost an arm and a leg, like PB does now?

Must admit it's not been the top thing for me to do - too much housework (fixing things, getting rid of things). Yeah, gotta find one.

I'm using Imgur at the moment. As far as I can tell, it's free and has no storage limits (they have one advertisement per page to generate income).

I had pictures scattered between Google Images (formerly Picasa), Flickr, and LJ scrapbook, so I've been consolidating them on Imgur and updating my entry links. It's been super tedious, but it's also been kind of fun rereading old entries and the comments under them. I miss the discussions back when LJ was busier.

It seems that fandom just went wonky when Facebook came out and Instagram, etc. as there was a lot of discussion on LJ. Gotta admit thought that when Stargate Atlantis bit the dust, my fannish muse went belly up. I still have to find a show that just snags me like that, or shows before that.

Yeah, there are shows I still watch, but it's been a long time since I felt fannish about anything. Watching shows without that extra fannish squee just seems...lacking somehow after decades in fandom.
