can I just say...wtf!bbq?

I mean, they can't manage to come out with action figures for like almost a decade. Their online game took forever. Only now are we getting audiobooks. But slot machines make a notable appearance in Vegas??

*curses how someone somewhere totally misses the boat on promoting my show!*

I was so hoping this was going to be about an "interactive experience" a la the Trek stuff they have there in Vegas. Now that would be fun.

Well, they have slot themes for Top Gun, Hee Haw, Family Feud, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Munsters, the Alien movies, Alien vs. Predator, Monopoly, and hundreds of others. Too bad Atronic is one of the more boring designers of slot machines--the Stargate ones will probably last about 2 years and gradually be replaced with something else.

And, yes, I am a gambler. It will be fun to see them. Actually the Star Wars slots are some of my favorites.

[identity profile] wraithfodder.livejournal.com 2008-04-10 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
had no idea they had that many slots!!

[identity profile] margec01.livejournal.com 2008-04-10 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, yeah, most of these themed slot machines only have a floor life of a couple years, sometimes less. Then people get bored with them, don't play them enough, and the casinos get new ones.

The problem with Atronic slots is they're all pretty much the same EXACT game, just different pictures. Yawn. I hope they make Stargate different so that it's more interesting.

Something to look for when I go to Vegas and Atlantic City. It may never make it to the St. Louis casinos. Star Wars hasn't.

Ah, just change the pictures, eh?

[identity profile] margec01.livejournal.com 2008-04-10 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
MAYBE they'll come up with something unique and interesting. But that company doesn't do "original" much. Ah well, que sera, sera.

At least it's cool that Stargate is considered enough of an icon to get a slot game. James Bond (MGM's other big seller) doesn't have a slot game! (g)

*headdesk* Slot machines? What drunken idiot at MGM actually thought this would be a good idea?

Now, pinball machines... that could be fun. :)
