Jason Momoa featured in TV Guide (includes PHOTO)

Jason Momoa of Stargate Atlantis is featured on page 10 of the U.S. June 23rd TV GUIDE on 'top 10 breaking news.' However, most of us know that Jason .... oh, hmm, just in case, under the cut!

Yes, he cut his dreads but his head and neck were hurting from the weight of the dreads. He added that all that hair kept him from wearing a bike helmet and kept ruining his balance on a surfboard. Eek! but SciFi execs didn't want him to cut it so now he's got a wig.

I have to go with what [livejournal.com profile] trixesfic said. While of course it's your LJ and you can freeze or delete things to your heart's content, please don't go making things up. The word racist was first brought into the discussion when someone accused [livejournal.com profile] darkrosetiger of calling her one, when all [livejournal.com profile] darkrosetiger had said was that using the term "non-human" about someone with a human hairstyle--and one that, since she's my fiancee, I know she's considered having--was offensive.

If I'm wrong about this, I apologize; unfortunately, [livejournal.com profile] darkrosetiger isn't home yet so I can't ask her to check the comments in her inbox.

Frankly, I'm still boggling over the fact that in this day and age, anyone needs to be told why using a term as loaded as "non-human" with regards to something connected with PoCs is wrong.
