LOL! I don't know quite what makes this funny - perhaps the 'this is Lt Col Sheppard' followed by 'oh crap' - or the 'piece of cake' bit and the 'look good doing it' bit?!! Whatever, I liked!

Y'know...the vid is great and thanks for putting it up a Pfyre for loading it on Youtube...but...

Does anyone else feel that it's kind of in poor taste on the part of Sci-fi to run ads with the tag 'The Character You Love' for a show they've just CANNED. Possibly on account of The Characters You Love being too old? Maybe they should have said 'The Characters You Love, But, You Know, Not Enough For Us To Keep Them On'? Or 'The Characters You Love Against All Our Marketing Logic and Despite Them Not Fitting In To Our Chosen Demographic'?

Am I mental for being so insulted? I mean, I have also taken the severely cut down opening Credits as a personal insult too - Show's being canned, who cares whose in it? So maybe I'm a bit over sensitive?

I am really hoping there will be an explosion of outrage once the general viewer, who isn't on the web, discovers SGA has been canned for SGU. Part of me thinks Skiffy is doing it to push for revenue (of course) but also to keep the franchise going. MGM adn Skiffy don't care WHAT permutation SG is in as long as there is one. Stupid corporate atittude :(

So do I. But will they even realise? Or will they just see SGU as the network resurrecting a show that was cancelled a couple of years ago? If you're not on the net seeing this crud go down, how would you ever know?

EXACTLY the same comment I was going to make. I don't believe we've seen this much advertising of Atlantis since its first season. Jerks.

However, it does add to my belief that it was likely MGM and the producers MORE than Sci Fi that wanted to do the new show.

Thanks for the vid. My favorite character of SGA. I love it. And he is soo hot(and he is over 40, info for MGM and the rest). But why they showed McKay first. Sheppard is the leader and first man, so he deserves the first place. Yes here speaks one of the JF-thunker, sorry.

And watching this vid, always the same question, why in the hell did they cancel this great show?

Thanks for posting this ad, I had not yet seen it and have been waiting and waiting and waiting to see it, but I'm with roxy_palace
Everytime I see these ads, I what to yell at the TV, "yeah but they canceled the show!" Why are they starting these ads now, they should had started them a long time ago!

I think SciFi would have been happy to have another season of Atlantis.
So I kind of feel they are poking MGM in the eye by doing these kind of advertisements.
And they ARE the characters I love....

did you see that they now have a woolsey ad, too? funny one.

ummm, did anyone else think it funny that on the sheppard ad, where the voice over is talking about his bravery, the video has him yelling, "move, move", and then he and ronon run away?
