Well, I can't say I'm surprised. A lot of us have been saying ever since Atlantis was canceled that the movie would never happen, and the longer this gets dragged out, the less likely a movie becomes. Kinda like how the longer the Weir storyline got dragged out, the less likely it was we'd ever see a resolution. The producers certainly practiced their stalling skills well, haven't they?

Well they certainly managed to scrape up enough $$$$ to do SGU didn't they???
It is why I believe it is more than $$$ and the need to change direction. They had that with SGA had they had
creative writers.......
I read ff in this community and wonder why they could not
have done something as creative???????

It all boils down to a personal vendetta waged by JM against JF for his inability to suck up........
I admire him for his intestinal fortitude in calling the shots the way he did, e.g. his insistence that Atlantis was a separate project from SG1..guest spots were fine but it was not a continuation of SG1.......and I heard he spoke up when there was some sort of need by cast members.
I think the fact that SGA got scuttled, and now the films, is due to the vendetta.
I don't buy anything else.
If they wanted something different than SG1, why did they not do that with SGA?
I frankly would have LOVED to have seen some other storyline than
1) wraith
2) replicators

That clip is from the Nov 2008 convention David attended in Australia. The woman is Katy Manning, who played Jo Grant, one of the companions of the third Doctor Who (Jon Pertwee). Katy lives in Australia and appears at that con frequently. From the few times I've seen Katy here in the States, she's flirty with everyone. 8^D

And with David H soon to be working on his own MGM project, I think this is well and truly buried now.... TPTB are keeping us hanging on until SGU airs in a hope that we will watch it and boost the ratings...

JM has already implied that if we want the SGA movie then we need to make sure SGU is a success or they will can the movie! Personally, I think that is rubbish - he just wants better ratings!! If the lead stars have not heard (JF, DH, RL, JM) then it isn't happening!

and like earlier mentioned, I think JM's childish behavoiour to JF has had an influence on this......I mean after what JM has said (or rather not said), how would he face JF if the movie did happen????

I think since they canceld SGA I am not up to date anymore. It really sucks what they have done with Atlantis, get canceled for a new show that sound like something from Battelstar Galactica. I am still pissed, TPTB talk rubish, the decisions they made have nothing to do with economy or stuff, this people are greedy, that is nothing but the truth!!!

It's a very long story but basically he has inferred that JF is big headed, a diva and has no talent....

JM has been very sneaky in the way he has done it, but that is the gist of it.
