so do we hit TPTB at NBC?
I had really hoped that it would be a series on cable e.g. USA
as so much of network is so horribly dull.........
There is never any depth to it.........which I would hate to see
if Joe took on Rockford. I would like to see a dark edge to it, not all fun and games.......

You are right of course.
As soon as I posted my reply to you, I realized they probably still have the rights.
OK, well maybe they can do what most networks can't...make it
something more than fluff like Castle, The Mentalist and all the rest of the series stuff which bores me to tears.

Yeah, NBC has Law & Order and other shows like that, so there's promise..

There might then be some hope. I just don't want to see him in
the run of the mill story lines and mainly fluff.
It wears on me after awhile, but you are entirely right about Law and Order........so there can be some hope.

With the exception of CBS' "Criminal Minds" spinoff, which is inheriting the SAG designation of the original series, every pilot whose affiliation has been determined so far has gone with AFTRA, which is expected to cover nearly 100% of this year's crop, the union said. That includes all high-end drama pilots including J.J. Abrams' "Undercovers," David E. Kelley's "Kindreds" and David Shore's "Rockford Files" at NBC, Jerry Bruckheimer's "Chase" at NBC and "The Whole Truth" at ABC, "Hawaii Five-0" on CBS and "Ridealong" on Fox.

Now if they'll just get Joe on it!

Just read Alex O'Loughlin got the lead role in the Hawaii Five-O pilot.. yeah, a crossover would be cool. I can hope they go with Joe for RF pilot!

David Hewlett has already added the info about Joe and the Rockford pilot on his Twitter feed. I am so stoked to see this, especially with Joe as the lead character. His role in 'Vegas' was one of his best performances.

if there is a god of TV parts to pray to, then I am praying to it! I so loved the show as a kid and its humour and action would just suit Joe perfectly!!!!! Joe as Rockford is a dream!!! Come on NBC - open your eyes and see the star before you.
