Oh, screencaps, a link to a video, of Joe Flanigan’s Six Bullets, or is it 6 Bullets? I see it both ways and the nitpicker in me wants it as Six Bullets… Anyway… check out the Daily Flan at http://daily-flan.livejournal.com/296830.html

Oh, and Joe is also doing Fan Expo Canada, August 23-26, 2012 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, South Building. All the details are at http://www.fanexpocanada.com/

David Hewlett is suffering as an adult trying to learn Pokemon, a game a kid no doubt will pick up in five minutes, but…

Oooh, new video interview with Joe Flanigan from FedCon. Love how he mangles "David McKay" (then quickly corrects).

Great interview with Joe Flanigan from recent convention in London. Wish I’d been there!  He talks a lot about Stargate Atlantis.

wraithfodder: (Default)
Yeah, Joe Flanigan tweeted the other day he's working on FRINGE, that show on Fox, Friday nights me thinks, that I watched an episode or two of but never got into, but now, I guess I'll have to watch, if just to see Joe!

And for those with no idea of FRINGE (uh, like me) here's their official website: http://www.fox.com/fringe/. Oh, I'm behind. They're in season 3...

wraithfodder: (Shep-oh crap)

Earlier in April (the 9th), Joe Flanigan mentioned in an interview on “Ferocious Planet” at (http://www.hollywoodoutbreak.com/2011/04/09/joe-flanigan%E2%80%99s-master-class-in-fighting-monsters-on-%E2%80%9Cferocious-planet%E2%80%9D-and-injuries-on-the-mountain-trails/) : ““Right now, I’m currently a beat up adventurer,” he says. “I separated my shoulder in a mountain biking accident. I was coming down a single track trail at a furious speed – I just got brand new handle bars that were extra long – they snagged a branch and they just kind of threw me over and I landed on my back. I actually feel pretty damn lucky that it’s just an AC separation and not something more serious.” Ooh, ouch, and geez, I swear, only a guy would keep do sports with the injury ! (read rest of article)

Well, now today, April 27th, he tweeted:

@JoeFlanigan: Snuck a little single malt scotch into the IV.  Snuck a little single malt scotch into the IV. http://t.co/Wqzzhua  [that's a photo of him in hospital]

and

@JoeFlanigan: Going under knife right now. See you all on the otherside of the gate  Going under knife right now. See you all on the otherside of the gate http://t.co/HLbdRTF  [his pointy shoulder!]

To which David Hewlett said:

@dhewlett: @JoeFlanigan sure, sure, your shoulder operation...or as I call it "youth-ing". You're the Joan Rivers of space! - Hewlett for good luck!

If you don't know, @TKL7 on Twitter worked on the SyFy flick "Ferocious Planet" as the wardrobe supervisor and has put up a number of shots of Joe Flanigan and the rest of the cast at her twitter account (via twitpic). Here's the really cute one.

the boys on TwitpicYeah, it's a small shot, but that makes you visit the site and up the clicks so TKL7 knows, hey, we DO want more shots of Joe, et al! :) Plus, if you go to the link and click in upper right corner of photo, you can make it a LOT bigger.

Here's the list:

(photo above) Joe Flanigan (@Joeflanigan), Yare Jegbefume (@Topmanyare) Chris Newman (@Chrissymacc), all smile for the camera. Awww.... apparently some folks don't realize they're redshirts very early on in the script ;)

This one is in text, so you can read:

http://articles.pazsaz.com/fplanettr.html

This is an interview from April 6, 2011 with Joe Flanigan from the Syfy movie Ferocious Planet. In "Ferocious Planet," an experimental device designed to view alternate universes malfunctions on its first demonstration, transporting a group of observers into a nightmarish new dimension. The team must use ingenuity and courage to outwit the bloodthirsty creatures of this bizarre world, while trying to repair the damaged machine and return home.

Question:
What are these aliens like compared to the types you've gone up against on Stargate Atlantis?

Joe Flanigan:
They seem to be almost impossible to kill. I seemed to be very good at killing the other ones. When we shot this, we shot it Ireland, and we worked strictly on green screen, and we weren't given much in the way of what it was going to look like. And that's kind of interesting because on the show, we always knew what the Wraith were going to look like. And so, you had an idea of what you were looking at and what you were working with. And in this case, I have to say they're much bigger than I anticipated them to be.

excerpt:

Flanigan plays the whole thing like a war-weary commando whose quick with a quip and more annoyed than fearful of being killed. Flanigan says his calm demeanor was less of a directorial choice and more about the fact that he was mislead in regard to the size of the monsters.

"I didn't think they'd be that big," he told reporters on a recent conference call. "When we shot this, we shot it Ireland, and we worked strictly on green screen, and we weren’t given much in the way of what it was going to look like. And that’s kind of interesting because on [Stargate Atlantis], we always knew what the Wraith were going to look like. And so, you had an idea of what you were looking at and what you were working with. [With Ferocious Planet], we weren’t entirely clear what these things were going to look like until after we shot it, so I was just hoping that our levels of appropriate fear were there."

Apparently this was a 'satellite' interview where he got interviewed by a whole lot of people from, well, wherever (hey, where is SyFy's interview???) regarding the movie. More to come as they are unearthed.

And there's ANOTHER interview with Joe Flanigan, this one at

http://www.blogtalkradio.com/mrmedia/2011/04/07/joe-flanigan-star-ferocious-planet-stargate-atlantis

and he talks about why he accepted working on Ferocious Planet (filming was in Ireland, not Bulgaria)

--thanks to [livejournal.com profile] tavabean  for the tip!
wraithfodder: (Epiphany)

For those following him, Joe Flanigan is back on twitter (@joeflanigan)

His radio interview today is now online at BlogtalkRadio at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/buzzworthyradio/2011/04/07/joe-flanigan

Starts at approximately the 5.32 mark, ends at 14.50. Tidbits include:

Says his character in Ferocious Planet did something wrong, but patriotic, so got stuck in the position he's in in the movie. and that his character is woefully underarmed. He then talked about working on Sisters, where he was "the guy," and how George Clooney had guest starred on it.

Next came questions about a Stargate Atlantis reunion type of 'thing,' to which Joe replied "I think the rumors have been all over the place. Unfortunately there's not going to be any Stargate in the near future. That doesn’t mean it won’t be in the future, but I don't think anybody will be seeing any Stargate-related anything for at least another year. The franchise has been effectively kind of shut down. Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis were cancelled and they spun off a series simultaneously they called Universe that unfortunately was not embraced by the audience, and that kind of sank the ship for a little while. We're going to have to resurrect that ship somehow." Joe then said the interviewer could watch the entire series (about 100 hours) and Joe would call back the next day to question him on it.

The interviewer asked about the movie Spore.  "Spore? Oh, Spore. Yes, well, right now we just have a script – a guy  named David Burns out of London, and we are supposed to go into production in Spring... on Spore. I love saying that one." The interviewer then told Joe it was Spring, but right now he's freezing on snow-covered streets in Aspen, so he figures he should call about that one. "Maybe I'm late for work."

He then made his first tweet in nearly half a year.

wraithfodder: (joe flanigan)

SyFy has actually made a movie which is getting good reviews?!

http://tvovermind.zap2it.com/tv-news/ferocious-planet/53895
B-movie staple John Rhys-Davies briefly brings his British (um... southern) accent and holier than thou attitude to Ferocious Planet as an American Senator with an interest in otherworld dimensions in Saturday's Syfy classic-in-the-making.  Sharing the screen as the reluctant, ornery and hotter than hell hero is Joe Flanigan. It's sure good to see him back in the realm of science fiction, where he fits so gloriously well.

.....

Most of all, I like Joe Flanigan and watching him in action just proves he needs to be helming his own series again. Syfy, please take note.  To experience the thrills of another dimension, tune into Syfy this Saturday at 9:00 pm Eastern. You won't be sorry!

----

Well, finally, a reviewer who knows quality ;) though am quibbling if it should be hotter-than-hell or just hotter than hell Joe Flanigan ;)  The review does have a few teensy spoilers, but I figure the relevant Joe Flanigan mentions are enough to post here :)

http://www.dreadcentral.com/reviews/ferocious-planet-syfy-2011

or http://bit.ly/dTvyfJ

excerpt of FEROCIOUS PLANET review from Dreadcentral.com. Darn, they spelled Joe Flanigan wrong. Must correct them ;)

....But, every once in a while a Syfy Original comes along that’s actually well written, well crafted, and it gives you hope that, perhaps, more such films will follow, which is why we keep watching.

Ferocious Planet is one of those films.

Written by Douglas (Carny) Davis and directed by Billy (Isolation) O’Brien, pic starts off as many Syfy films do – in a secret government lab where major achievements of modern science are about to go horribly wrong.

Dr. Jillian O’Hara (Dagmar Doring) has been doing ground breaking research in the area of hyper-dimensional physics and the discovery of alternate universes, but in order to continue receiving the funding she needs to continue her work, she has to convince surly U.S. Senator Jackson Crenshaw (John Rhys Davies) that her research has significant value and should be spared the chopping block.

Overseeing security during the demonstration is Colonel Sam Synn (played by Joe Flannigan of Syfy’s Stargate: Atlantis and Warehouse 13). Synn’s a burned out soldier with a checkered past and all he wants to do is get through this babysitting gig so he can get busy with retirement and spend the rest of his days on his boat.

JOE FLANIGAN
It’s just days away (8) till Joe’s SyFy flick Ferocious Planet (aka The Other Side) airs at 9pm on SyFy. You can watch the latest teaser ad at
http://video.syfy.com/movies_events/syfy_saturday/promos_trailers_8/ferocious-planet--syfy-original-movie/v1316616 And heck, you can even pre-order this gem of a movie at Amazon.com at http://amzn.to/ferociousplanet for $17.99. It will be released June 7th. Fans are hoping he might resurface on twitter when the movie airs next Saturday.

Good Day for It, the drama he made last summer, is coming out on DVD, but only in Australia (note: those DVDs not playable in Region 1 (USA) players). http://www.borders.com.au/video/good-day-for-it/24309881/  has details and the
Synopsis: A man forced to abandon his wife and daughter years earlier must risk his life to settle an old score and reunite his family. Forced to leave town after betraying Lyle Tyrus the ruthless leader of a rural crime gang Luke Cain has stayed away for 15 years to protect his wife and daughter from Lyle's vengeance. But his daughter Emily nurses a burning desire to see her father and Luke finally agrees to meet her at a cafe on the outskirts of town. But fate intervenes when Lyle's brother Norman and his killing crew chance by the cafe. They leave without incident but Luke knows it is just a matter of time before they report to Lyle and return to exact their revenge. Luke is forced to make a difficult and potentially life threatening decision. Should he leave his daughter behind again or wait for his worst nightmare to walk straight through the door only time will tell if today really is a Good day For It !  - It’s also at the Philadelphia Cinefest 2011 (April 7-14). Details at http://www.phillycinefest.org/film-details.cfm?id=9723

Change of Plans, the family movie he made for Fox TV along with Brooke White, is available for order at the Walmart site. Alas, it doesn’t appear to be for sale in stores, at least not yet. You can pre-order for around $12 at http://www.walmart.com/ip/15778093 . Alas, it will not be released until April 26th.

He did an online interview at http://pmc-mag.com/2011/03/joe-flanigan/ back in early March. And he’s going to be at Dragoncon (http://www.dragoncon.org/dc_guests_list.php) whereas I – unless I win powerball – am not. Boo hoo.

wraithfodder: (joe flanigan)

And a longer, obviously  much better quality, teaser video for Joe Flanigan's Ferocious Planet flick, which will be airing on SyFy at 9pm on April 9th (Yeah, like any Flanfan doesn't have it on their calendar, post-its on the TV, etc.) ;)

CORRECTION. Well, crap, as Sheppard would say, the embed link just doens't want to work, so here is the direct link to the trailer at the SyFy site:

http://video.syfy.com/movies_events/syfy_saturday/promos_trailers_8/ferocious-planet--syfy-original-movie/v1316616

For those on twitter, I made a Ferocious Planet list following cast/crew of the movie and it's at http://twitter.com/#!/list/wraithfodder/syfy-ferociousplanet - sorta hope Joe Flanigan pops out of his twitter-exile when the movie airs.

wraithfodder: (joe flanigan)
Here's a rather cruddy copy of the SyFy trailer for "Ferocious Planet" which aired during "Scream of the Banshee" (not terribly bad flick but not terribly good either). Anyway, I'm sure SyFy will put up a better copy on their site eventually. Movie with Joe Flanigan airs in less than 2 weeks!

wraithfodder: (joe flanigan)

Wow, the movie isn't even out on SyFy yet and it's already up for pre-order on Amazon.  Yes, Joe Flanigan's FEROCIOUS PLANET (aka THE OTHER SIDE) will be out for $17.99 on June 7th at Amazon. Here's a short link direct to the site. http://amzn.to/ferociousplanet. I'd put up a photo but as usual with any SyFy production, they show the monster flat out on the DVD cover. So, if you don't mind seeing JOe Flanigan's character running for his life pursued by said monster, click away. (thx to @flaninfo)

And, Joe's CHANGE OF PLANS is available for pre-order for $11.96 from Walmart at http://www.walmart.com/ip/15778093. It's out on March 22nd. Ooh, Tuesday. Must make sure I just drop by Walmart and grab one!

update: Apparently CHANGE OF PLANS will come out on 3/26 instead of 3/22 - hmm, a change of plans, I see - hey, bad puns allowed here! ;)  And oh well, bummer. Walmart's site does now say "not sold in stores." Crap, now I gotta mail order. Last time I mail ordered a DVD from Walmart it took forever to get... ** FACEPALM ** No, the release date is now April 26th. Wow, that's another month to go. Darn...
wraithfodder: (Shep-awesome)
First, there's a nifty little article with a photo on Joe Flanigan at http://pmc-mag.com/2011/03/joe-flanigan/. Here's the photo at the site, but it's a smaller version, cuz I'm making folks go to site so they can get the hits :) Meanwhile, there's also a little interview in the side column and here's a quote: "10: Who is your biggest hero?  My mother and my late father. They loved each other like teenagers to the end. And more importantly, they knew how to have fun."

Next, unless I win powerball, lotto, publishers clearinghouse, etc. I'm not attending, but Joe Flanigan has signed up for Dragoncon down in Atlanta, GA. It will run September 2-5, 2011. Here's the guest page listing - http://www.dragoncon.org/dc_guests_list.php. Ah, I'd love to do that con.... Oh man, and they have Joel Gretsch too....
wraithfodder: (Shep-awesome)

On the news front….

@SyFyMovies said that Joe Flanigan’s THE OTHER SIDE, also known as ALIEN ABYSS, now retitled FEROCIOUS PLANET, will air on SyFy on April 9th. Not too keen on the title, but at least it doesn’t have “Mega”or “roid” in the title ;) I mean, hey, it's a SyFy movie so it's going to be cheesy, with a high body count, no scientific logic, but if it's got Sheppard, er, Joe Flanigan, I'm there. I mean, geez, I watched Kavan Smith and Paul McGillion in the not very sciency IRON INVADER (sorta of IRON GIANT gone all bad) and if I can get through that.... ;)

And, Rachel Luttrell’s music video is up at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMG_NYdBlfk. She's got a lovely voice. and I want the CD when it's out as I haven't done iTunes yet. Yes, I'm still in the dark ages.

wraithfodder: (Default)

Update on the Stargate Atlantis folk! It's not the entire cast, but the key folk. If I've missed any  news, just add it to the comments below so others can read :)

Joe Flanigan
Alas his Fox/Walmart movie CHANGE OF PLANS had lukewarm ratings although good fan reaction. It will be out on DVD at Walmart on March 22nd. Otherwise, he seems to be taking a sabbatical from Twitter, despite fans’ pokes at him to tweet.
However, he did attend the Flight and Fable gallery opening – links and more at http://wraithfodder.livejournal.com/465283.html
A video trailer came out of THE OTHER SIDE (at http://wraithfodder.livejournal.com/464413.html) and screencaps and irreverent dialogue are at http://wraithfodder.livejournal.com/464729.html
IMDB shows that his humorous scifi movie SPORE is in pre-production. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1770742/

David Hewlett
David’s RISE OF THE APES has been pushed back from a summer airing to a Thanksgiving 2011 release.
David did another podcast interview with Geekdad. You can download and listen to his interview at http://www.wired.com/geekdad/2011/01/the-geekdads-episode-83-every-games-better-with-zombies/
He’s been busy tweeting (if you have twitter and don’t follow @dhewlett, what’s wrong with you???) ;) – He noted humorously “
dhewlett: Looks like there is a PIN remake in the works! Guess I better start campaigning to play my dad?! bit.ly/dPO5AC
And he’s back to writing! “dhewlett: Thanks to chat yesterday with @Syfy I'm currently tapping away at a little something called Starcrossed...Keep those fingers crossed!”
A flashback to PIN, an odd movie David did years ago. http://www.fangoria.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3333:fango-flashback-pin&catid=59:fango-flashback&Itemid=189 An excerpt: “
However what the emotionally detached Dr. Linden does not realize is that his son Leon (SPLICE’s David Hewlett) is in fact a schizophrenic with traits of disassociative personality disorder with no real friends and believes Pin is actually alive.
A photo of him recently appeared from his ‘evil snow monkeys’ movie – it’s at this journal entry - http://wraithfodder.livejournal.com/466046.html
And he’s been blogging over at Blaster.com at http://blastr.com/2011/01/david-hewlett-my-hilariou.php and it’s got a record number of comments.

Torri Higginson
Remember the SyFy movie STONEHEDGE APOCALYPSE? Well, an enterprising fan screencapped the movie, mostly for Supernatural actor Misha Collins, but she also capped Torri as well. Details and download instructions at http://community.livejournal.com/rawr_caps/270961.html and, ohmygosh, they screencap a LOT of shows… NCIS, White Collar and more!

Rachel Luttrell
Will be releasing her first album, I WISH YOU LOVE, which is scheduled for a February 2011 release. You can watch a sample video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0KX82Cj4iM

Jason Momoa
There are a number of articles on the CONAN THE BARBARIAN movie, but nothing with too much news in it (mostly comparisons to the Arnie S version). However, in an interview with actor Stephen Lang at http://collider.com/stephen-lang-interview-terra-nova/69631/, he said “And, I’ve got to say that Jason Momoa, who plays Conan, was just spectacularly good. He was terrific. He did a great job and was a real stud, and I enjoying beating the hell out of him. That was fun.”
And Jason will soon be seen in the HBO miniseries
GAME OF THRONES
(premieres April 17th). Here’s a quote from an interview with producers at http://www.tvsquad.com/2011/01/09/game-of-thrones/  - “
And Jason Momoa [who plays Dothraki leader Khal Drogo] is just the coolest kid around.”

Kavan Smith
Will be in the Febraury 12th SyFy movie (9pm ET)  called IRON INVADER, in which an alien bacteria comes to earth, animates an iron sculpture, which of course stomps the living beejesus out of the redshirts in a small town cuz it’s cheaper to have just a few people in the cast rather than a lot ;) Kavan, at least according to video at http://www.dreadcentral.com/news/42084/syfys-iron-invader-goes-viral, is one of the heroes. Paul McGillion is in the cast as well, see below.

Paul McGillion
See above. Just saw an ad for it in SyFy. Paul plays the sheriff in IRON INVADER. Somehow, that’s just about 50/50 with being a doctor and dying horribly on a SyFy movie.

David Nykl
Oh wow, he’s got a cute dinosaur picture on his January 26th entry at http://lettersfrompegasus.blogspot.com/.  So visit his blog. He’s doing cons and such, but no new news to really report. Hmm, he needs to do another SyFy movie.

Rainbow Sun Francks
Plays the “computer maven” Corp. Dev Clark in this series that airs on CTV (and once aired on NBC, but got yanked due to low ratings). The Canadian series THE LISTENER comes back to CTV on February 8th.
Full press release at http://ctvmedia.ca/ctv/releases/release.asp?id=13424&yyyy=2011 and the series has a Facebook account at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=37939960589 where you can find promotional photos.

Jewel Staite
Her short horror movie THE PACT premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival (on January 24th). She plays a woman alone in a house of her late mother, and a sinister presence. More details and photos and trailers at http://www.fireflyfans.net/mthread.asp?b=36&t=47226&newsid=0

Jessica Steen
The first Dr. Weir, is in the season finale of FLASHPOINT, which will air right after the Superbowl, in Canada on CTV, not the US on CBS, alas.  However, CBS will be airing more episodes of Flashpoint in the summer of 2011, and ION TV has bought the entire series, so eventually you can see all of Jessica’s episodes, when she stepped in to fill the void for six episodes when Amy Jo Johnson was pregnant and temporarily off the series. UPDATE: Just got informed by @klharris39 on Twitter that Jessica has a recurring role as the character Lisa Stillman on the Canadian tv series HEARTLAND.

And that's it!

Joe Flanigan and his wife attended a gallery exhibit opening (Flight and Fable) a couple days ago (January 19 or 20?), and there are three photos up at http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=39887&id=118872584802898 . Joe's shots are in the fourth row from the bottom.

Exclusive! Screencaps and actual real honest-to-gosh dialogue ripped from the script for Joe Flanigan's THE OTHER SIDE tv movie, said pages found hidden in issue of Entertainment Weekly *cough* ;) Yes, pictures with 'dialogue we're glad we won't see on the screen.' ;)

In typical scifi (or SyFy) fashion, our intrepid heroes are introduced. The good looking guy in the foreground will live through the show. The cute guy in the back? I smell "redshirt" ;)

Rest of screencaps below )

*flails* RHI Entertainment has put up a trailer for Joe Flanigan's THE OTHER SIDE movie, the one he made in Ireland, the one Syfy will eventually air, most likely under the name THE ALIEN ABYSS according to SyFy folk on Twitter. But anyway, here's the trailer. Is Joe channeling John Sheppard or what? Also,  there are some sorta spoilerish scenes (typical these days).

wraithfodder: (McKay-this is cool)

Oooh. David Hewlett is gonna be in London... from Twitter today.

Martin Firrell

Enormous quantities of Stargate Atlantis watched - in preparation for spending time in the studio with David Hewlett next week

Martin's got a nice collection of photos and interviews with Joe Flanigan, David Nykl and Ben Browder, thus far, at http://www.martinfirrell.com/joeflanigan/

So if you haven't been there already, please do visit!

My issue of the January 3-9, 2011 TV Guide arrived in the mail today, and there, on page 3(!) is Joe Flanigan in a full page ad for the Fox movie "Change of Plans."

And the official site is updated!

http://familymovienight.com/change-of-plans/#

They've got cast information, videos, photos, and music. The photos of Joe Flanigan are just adorkable ;)  He's got an interview at http://bcove.me/3wprv6e2

Here's one of the pictures.

Joe Flanigan or Mr. Cool ;)
wraithfodder: (critter-scream)

Not sure why people put up videos on  YouTube if they don't want the world to see them. Ah, sigh, the great videos of Joe Flanigan from Change of Plans - in post http://wraithfodder.livejournal.com/459776.html below - are now gone. Darn. drat.

Anybody, um, save the 1.44 minute one? Can live without of course as I'm sure they'll go back online once it creeps closer to when the movie airs, and in just over a month, we'll be buying the DVD at Walmart ;)

P.S. thanks to [livejournal.com profile] kosmikdawg for your message. wasn't able to reply back. I'm all set :)
wraithfodder: (Shep-go away)

Thanks to

Here's #1 (1.44 minutes; with more adults as in Joe!)

#2 (30 second spot)

#3 (1 minute, mostly on Brooke White but Joe is in there too)

Big thanks to http://www.youtube.com/user/DVAmovies for posting these, and [livejournal.com profile] tashirasbubble  for posting the links (and some cool screencaps, so visit her LJ! as well as to see who else to thank).

UPDATE 12/10/2010: Sorry, gang. Videos seem to no longer be on YouTube. Darn darn darn.
wraithfodder: (Sheppard-Toot)

There are now screencaps up of Joe Flanigan from the CHANGE OF PLANS trailer that hit YouTube the other day, but went private REAL fast. Check out www.jfjsthunksisters.org/change-of-plans-t90-50.html  for the caps (thanks to @jaluch on twitter for tip) and... the video appears up elsewhere:

@flanInfo: [VID] Change of Plan trailer / LtCdrflygirl from the 9thchevron site managed to download it before it got private bit.ly/dQvsWg

It's quite short and Joe is seen here and there, and apparently, driving a minivan (gasp!) Guess all that flying the puddlejumper has prepared him for, er, minivans ;)

I'm sure the trailer will go live on the movie's website as it gets closer. Little do they know how tenacious fans can be ;)

Thanks to a few folk on twitter (@Suzieb45, Lunnyb12), here is information on Joe Flanigan's new movie for FOX tv, "Change of Plans" - http://familymovienight.com/change-of-plans/ - I've screencapped the page for posterity, but look, a trailer coming soon!  It'll air on Fox on January 8, 2011.  I love it, his character is a fighter pilot :) and they mention Stargate Atlantis as a credit, too.

Snerched from http://www.edenfilms.com/, with big thanks to [livejournal.com profile] nakedwesley  for posting about this!

Edenfilms is delighted to announce that Joe Flanigan (Stargate Atlantis) has accepted the lead role in the new comdey horror film, S P O R E, shooting commencing Easter 2011
 Starring: Joe Flanigan
 Executive Producer: Stephanie Pettigrew
 Producer: David Burns
Written by Henry DC Williams & Michael Hall

When a ravenous shape-shifting alien crash lands in the heart of bland British suburbia and proceeds to crash the house warming party of anglophile Bobby and his Blue Peter wife, Sue, it proves there’s more than one way of getting rid of unwanted guests.

This sounds fun. I mean, go to the main website and look at the mock poster. Sheer 50s fun! Glad he's doing something lighthearted as most scifi films end up with gloom and doom these days!
wraithfodder: (geeks)

Okay, we've probably all seen the video of Joe Flanigan talking about "Change of Plans" (aka Best Laid Plans). Now some industrious fans have screencapped the video!

and

http://berryann.livejournal.com/60377.html

I was so hoping folks would do that as with the dog's problems, I haven't had time or energy. Geez, I want whatever he has that he looks younger!

http://www.iftn.ie/actors/actorsnews/?act1=record&only=1&aid=73&rid=4283432&tpl=archnews&force=1

Windmill Lane are currently posting two feature projects for Parallel Films. The TV movies, ‘The Other Side’ and ‘Roadkill’, being made for British Sci-fi channel Syfy, both filmed in Ireland during summer 2010 and are currently in the hands of Windmill’s expert VFX team.

With Gráinne Gavigan (The Clinic) editing the feature at Windmill, ‘The Other Side’ is directed by BAFTA nominee, Billy O’Brien (The Tale of the Rat that Wrote) and stars Joe Flanigan (The Other Sister) and John Rhys-Davies (Raiders of the Lost Ark).

Written by Douglas G. Davis (Carny), the feature tells the story of a groundbreaking device designed to glimpse alternate universes. But when the machine malfunctions on its first demonstration and transports a group of observers into a nightmarish new dimension of bizarre alien terrors, the travellers must use ingenuity and courage to survive. But even if they stay alive, without a working transport, the group may never make it home.

’The Other Side’ is produced by Adrian Sturges (The Disappearance of Alice Creed) and the director of photography is Peter Robertson (Disco Pig) who shot on locations in Dublin and Wicklow. The support cast includes Catherine Walker (Leap Year), Dagmar Doring (Georgian Underworld), Chris Newman (Song for a Raggy Boy), Robert Soohan (David Copperfield), Sam O’Mahony (Casualty) and Yare Jegbefune (Fair City).
