I'm very glad I was not attached to seeing Ben Browder in Hellcats, in fact, I was, well, going to brace myself and watch a CW show just to see Ben, but while he was in the pilot, he will not be in the series. News just came out today. Apparently he's got other projects going (phew!)

I have to say I was so relieved to hear about his web series because Hellcats? That's so not my thing. I couldn't have watched it. Not even for Crichton...errr...Ben.

I'm actually a bit skeptical that it was his decision rather than the production's. Esp since there is talk of them re-tooling the character. After all he really hasn't worked since SG-1, so wouldn't he jump at the chance for a regular role/paycheck? But, that's just me, looking for spin where there might not be any. :)

It's entirely possible since he has two films he's doing this summer and Hellcats' production schedule would have conflicted with both (Naught For Hire and Freeze Frame).

I can see him wanting to keep time free for both since he's also the executive producer of Naught For Hire, and he's been working with the writer and director for Freeze Frame to get the funding (which got held up from its spring shooting schedule because the director became pregnant with twins).

I felt relieved actually coz wasn't very interested in such series, wouldn't probably watch it even for Ben. He's got Naught for Hire and Freeze Frame production for this summer and fall respectively, this outta keep him busy and his fans fed in the winter ;)

Whew! Dodged a bullet on that one because I was actually going to slog through the thing for Ben (I've kept a stiff upper lip through a couple of LMN movies for the man ;))

Thanks for keeping track of this stuff for us. If I didn't have this site I probably wouldn't know what was going on with the old crew half the time. lol
