They still are. Did you read the comments after that article?
Apparently they want the Neanderthal look.....ie big bulky muscles and a brain to go with it and also all that garbage about Jason not being blonde and blue eyed????? From the story line it would seem his look is much more Conan than the Arnold was.............
Even if I was not familiar with Jason as Ronon I would give this rendition a definite go just from the look

I don't read comic books, at least Conan type, but many have said
Jason does not fit the blonde blue eyed Conan.
Wasn't Conan from the plains of Mongolia?? brought up as a slave
to his uncle after his father was killed?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm given that scenario, makes no sense.
I also am NOT a fan of the Arnold e.g. only reason I watched The Terminator was Michael Biehn......I managed to hold my nose when
the Arnold was on the screen.

BTW agree about the woman in that shot. A friend said
"Fine!!!!! but he needs to lose the girl"

I don't much other than ads and trailers.
I NEVER watched any since I don't like AS
I would never even see something on tv, but I am fairly sure
it started as a kid enslaved to his uncle etc.
Maybe I am confusing it with another muscle film he made
UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only thing more disgusting is WWF or whatever they call that
steroid parade on tv.

Very pretty ;-). I'm a Robert E. Howard fan; Conan was black haired and blue eyed and his people, the Cimmerians, were the decedents of the Atlanteans (Kull) and the forebears of the Irish Celts in Howard's world. Now, ask me if I care after seeing that picture? LOL
He follows the spirit of Howard's Conan if not the absolute 'letter' of the character. I'm so psyched.
