SciFi announces fall premiere dates; SGA to get midseason finale on Dec 7th

http://www.scifi.com/scifiwire/index.php?category=2&id=43313 reports the Fall dates for SciFi Channel in the US.

"The fourth season of Stargate Atlantis debuts on Sept. 28 and will air Fridays at 10 p.m. Atlantis will have a midseason finale on Dec. 7, a finale that will feature the return of Torri Higginson as Dr. Elizabeth Weir. The Atlantis team must ally itself with a known enemy to join forces against an even greater foe.

Throughout the fall, SCI FI's summer series will have their finales: Who Wants To Be a Superhero? at 9 p.m. Sept. 13, Painkiller Jane at 10 p.m. Sept. 21, Eureka at 9 p.m. Oct. 2 and Doctor Who at 8 p.m. Oct. 5. "

Well, it's been announced they've pulled the plug on Painkiller Jane. She's dead, Jim *cough cough*. Meanwhile, it sorts sucks (no, wait, it does suck) to read 'midseason finale' as I have this dreadful feeling it will be Spring before we see the second half of season 4. Hopefully just January, but this is SciFi, remember. They advertised SGA in the 9pm slot for several weeks before making the correction to 10pm....

No kidding, they need to realize viewers are no longer lemmings turning to one of the big 3 (or 4). With so many choices, the networks/cable need to do their part to keep the audience - that means keeping the show on in a regular time slot and rotation and advertising, not long unexplained absences that make the casual viewer think the show is gone/done.
