Picspam: Promotional Stargate Atlantis season 4 photos (NEW)

 Publicity shots from Stargate Atlantis 4 are beginning to leak out here and there over the web. Posted below the cut are the latest ones gathered from the Canadian channel that's airing SGA on October 1st, and a MySpace account. Not sure where they got them or if they're official or what. This is just to cull all shots in one place, mostly for the benefit of dial-up fans and those whose work accounts ban MySpace, etc. visits ;)

Notice how Ronon is a midget, while Sam is now the tallest.

Thanks for the catch all entry. I've seen some of these around, but not others.

I think that they just might be official, because David mentioned in either his blog or his Twitter account (Twitter, I think.) something about him wearing leather or a leather jacket. Could be, who knows?

It's sort of good to see some of the new clothes, even if I'm still not dealing well with the new cast members. I am definitely loving Ronon's new wardrobe. I'm sure that he doesn't have enough clothes and what not and that is an interesting skull he's now sporting.

I have to say that I am touched that they dressed Jewel sort of like Carson (sans Scotland's flag patch), which I take to be more of a shout out to him than anything else. But hey, that's just me.

I noticed that they carried that over from the last few episodes from last season. He looked good in it, but he tends to look good in many an outfit.

Now if only we can get Rodney back into it and out of John's hand-me-down leather jacket. . .

I totally agree about the airbrushing, or tweaking, or whatever you want to call it.

Am I the only one looking at dear Rodney and thinking, "That's not our Rodney; that's clearly Rod, from the AU in 'McKay and Mrs. Miller'?"

Husband and I had an argument about who is better looking: Nathan Fillion or Joe Flanigan. Anyone else want to weigh in with an opinion while we're (sort of) on the subject? (Why yes, I suppose I am stacking the deck by asking here. :) )

well, that is easy to answer. Joe, of course. I don't think Nathan looks good actually, because of his cow eyes. His character in Firefly was cool though.

All there faces looked tweeked. It's like they tried to make them all symmetrical or something. And the full body shots (esp Jewel) look terrible. It makes her legs look stumpy.

for some reason the closeups look like RMV reject photos - they all have that glazed driver's license/work id look about them. And John, Rodney and Sam all look exhausted!

On the airbrushing/weirdness - I felt the same way about some of the SG1 season 9 (or 10?) promo shots. They kind of looked a little plastic.

I don't think they've been photoshopped much...

I think the makeup lady had too many happy pills that day and went a little crazy.

I think David's gonna suffocate under foundation lol!
