Oh whoa, first video report from FEDCON and Joe Flanigan talks about taking the wrong train.

FedCon XIX, Bonn, 30 April - 2 May 2010  

Joe & David Photo Session
Since we didn't really have anything better to do, we decided to start the queue for the Joe & David photo session (three hours before it was due to begin!). No kidding, we sat there for about ten minutes at most before other people started queuing behind us and lavvyan as first in line was given a sign saying "Joe & David". By the time the session actually started, the queue was enormous. Apaprently over 600 people were in it.
I still haven't quite forgiven myself for how completely headless I was when it was my time. David was nice as always and made a point to make eye contact, which completely distracted me from Joe. He asked "How are you?" and I think I managed an "All right." before it was all over already. I was so out of it, I never even noticed that David had his hand on my shoulder until I saw the photograph the next day. *headdesk*

This was great! Thanks for posting it. You can also catch a glimpse of them in the last five seconds walking up behind then past the lady talking on the mic. I kept re-watching that part thinking I'd spotted David, then realized on the fourth or fifth re-watch that Joe is standing right behind him! (They're on for about two seconds, tops.)

Thank you so much for collecting all these great stuff for us! And for me it recalls the exciting events of the FedCon. This was the first time in my life that I could be at such a big event. Joe, David and Cliff also were fantastic!!! I feel myself still flying above the ground.:) At the autograph, when I told Joe, that I was from Hungary, he remembered the failure of the last year's chat on the website of the Hungarian cable TV, AXN Sci-fi. And he was very sorry for it. Oh, he is a nice man!

Alas, Quicktime seems to hate me (4 browsers who tell me I need a plugin, but none of the able to install it / recognize the installation). Argh. You don't happen to know if this video can be downloaded somewhere? Hah, it finally works.

Stargate Atlantis actor Joe Flanigan kept everybody waiting on the first day. He had to fight with earthly problems in the "Fernverkehr" (= long distance travel with train).

His Stargate collegue David Hewlett came well prepared to Bonn and had anounced beforehand by Twitter that he bought suitable footwear.

Joe Flanigan and David Hewlett were especially popular this year. The charming Stargate Atlantis actors accepted the long queues for autographs and photoshootings readily for their fans.

However, also Cliff Simon couldn't complain about autographs requests although he played someone really evil in the Stargate-Universe.

[FedCon woman talks about the crappy planning with Joe's & David's photoshooting. Apparently there were 560 people who wanted a photo with Joe & David! XD When they saw that one hour (!!) wouldn't be enough they asked Tahmoh Penikett if he could do his panel one hour earlier. He was just sleeping because of his jetlag - and "not amused". They later apologized with German wheat bear... ^^]

@coolbreeze1: I actually chose that version because of David & Joe walking by...there were better versions - but that was way cooler... not a lot of people notice them though! So good eye!

@elyc: perfect translation! I'm thinking of doing an english version of next year's report...
