Vancouver Convention links

This Stargate Atlantis – SG-1 – Universe convention took place in Burnaby, B.C. Canada at the Hilton Metrotown Vancouver hotel from April 15-28,2010.

Some more links with both Stargate Atlantis and Stargate SG-1 (the movies) tidbits. They seem to be dying down right now, maybe because it's the last day of the con. Hopefully when folks get back home they'll go, oh, hey, I think I'll write up a lengthy account of the convention and post my gazillion photos to Flickr ;)

http://iheartkeys.livejournal.com/5332.html has an account, some photos (looks like they had a good seat) This one seems to contain a few spoilers Mallozzi dropped to the fan while in line. And hints on the much ballyhooed season 4 trailer nobody seems to want to talk about, but some fans do (phew) The scene that I remember was with Carter and Sheppard, standing inside what looked like a lift. Sheppard turns to Carter and says "Congratulations!" and then there's an awkward pause before Carter goes "Thanks! (beat) What for?" and Sheppard gets all shy and awkward because he's not good with feelings and stuff and he was like "I never congraulated you on your promotion. So... here I am, congraulating you, Colonel!" and Carter was like "... OH! right! Thanks! *beams*"" And apparently another LJ fan is gonna transcribe the SG1 panel.

SciFi's blog - http://blog.scifi.com/comiccon/ - the one by Mark Stern. Here's an excerpt:  "We have reached the midpoint (or so) in the weekend, and the panels have been incredible. The Stargate: Atlantis panel yesterday was a great way to start the Con - getting off the plane and walking into a room with 6000 people cheering for one of our shows. It doesn't get any better than that! The panel was lively as always, Joe Flanigan and David Hewlett were going at it in style, but this year they were joined by the newest members of SGA - Amanda Tapping and Jewel Staite. And they definitely held their own! Favorite SGA panel moment: When asked about the biggest change between Firefly and Atlantis, Jewel said "Given how complicated it is, I'm just glad I'm not responsible for repairing the Ancients' city." Okay, if you're not an SGA fan, it's not gonna mean much, but let's just say it was funny in the room!" [Meanwhile, checked Skiffy's photo gallery pages - no sign of SG1 or SGA cast]
