The Stargate Atlantis Crossover
I don't go to Joe Mallozzi's blog too often, as I don't read cooking reviews, and he gives too many spoilers on books I might read, and well, since Stargate Atlantis and Stargate SG-1 went poof, not so much to read about, but today...
http://josephmallozzi.wordpress.com/2010/07/15/july-15-2010-atlantis-crossover-which-begs-all-sorts-of-questions-and-another-big-guest-blogger-announcement/ or just http://bit.ly/auT1d5
EXCERPT: With word from producer John G. Lenic that the deals have been closed on those Atlantis alums, we can now move forward on the script, secure in the knowledge that both extra-special guest stars will actually be on hand to say the dialogue written for specifically for them. Great news for fans of the old series. There was a reluctance to move ahead with an SGA crossover, particularly on my part, because the feeling was it would step on the timing of the SGA movie, Stargate: Extinction, the events of which directly proceed the Atlantis series finale, Enemy at the Gate. But given the delay on the movie front and the ideal premise pitched out by Remi Aubuchon and Brad Wright, it was decided to go ahead with the crossover. Not a big deal, but it will require some changes to the Stargate: Extinction timeline which, in turn, will beg a host of questions, some of which will be answered in episode #15, some of which won’t…at least not right away:
1. Where the hell is Atlantis?
AND the rest is at link above. I'm assuming from everything I've read that this is Stargate Universe/Atlantis crossover, so it begs the question of whom they'll have. I'd love to see Sheppard and McKay, but don't see how that could be worked in logically. Hmm...

Anyway, I'll bet it's McKay and someone else, not Sheppard, possibly just a minor character... maybe not, but not Sheppard.
five minutes of the ep will involve Atlantis. Tops.
As for the rest...
Atlantis based on Earth? Are they crazy? So, what? Teyla and Kanaan just accept that they'll never see their people again? That goes against everything they spent 5 years building in Teyla's character....
Even putting that aside, Atlantis based on Earth? That's... Bah!
*sigh*
I promise I won't jump to any conclusions until something is known.... promise. but....
hmm....

If they're going to make this movie then they either need to make it or never mention it again.

pathetically sucking up to himcelebrating the news. I think it's important that at least some people voice their disapproval since I have a feeling that his perception of fandom is slightly... skewed due to the number of people who criticize him in his blog having dropped dramatically (I gather mainly because of the way hecan't cope withhandles criticism). Someone needs to tell him there also are fans who think that this (all of it... the crossover, leaving Atlantis an Earth, etc.) is a stupid decision, and it better be more than one.no subject

As for Lorne? ITA. Leave the poor character alone.
(Just as an aside, WTH? Nancy and Sheppard getting back together? Why would that even cross any serious writer's mind?)

SGA on SGU
I don't watch SGU. Have they explained why McKay or Carter haven't been helping out the lost Destiny crew?
