Update on Stargate Atlantis / SG-1 novels

Email, shamelessly snerched from my email box, on the Stargate Atlantis / Stargate SG-1 novels:

Dear Stargate fan,

Summer is over, Fall is here, and we have some great news to start the season.

First off, we can announce the publication of two new books before Christmas – Sabine C. Bauer’s long-awaited STARGATE SG-1: Transitions is available now. Uniting the heroes of SG-1 and Atlantis in a thrilling adventure, it’s a must for fans of both series. (Scroll down to find out more).

Secondly, STARGATE ATLANTIS Legacy has been a big hit with fans. Now, for those of you who have been waiting patiently (or not so patiently!) for the third in the series, we’re delighted to announce that STARGATE ATLANTIS: Allegiance will be available next month.

Meanwhile, STARGATE SG-1: Oceans of Dust will be published in Spring 2012.

STARGATE ATLANTIS: Halcyon back in print!

We also have exciting news for those of you eager to get hold of James Swallow’s fantastic book, STARGATE SG-1: Halcyon.

A limited number of Halcyon books have been reprinted thanks to a fan who wanted to see them back in print. He’s ordered a quantity of the books and is offering them for sale on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk – just in time for Christmas. Makes the perfect gift for all Stargate fans.

Don't miss the chance to finalize your novel collection.

STARGATE SG-1: Transitions – Sabine C. Bauer

After her mother’s death, Cassie Fraiser is moving on. Or so she thinks. But there are dangerous forces at work and she soon finds herself caught up in a situation far beyond her control. It’s a good job Colonel Sam Carter has been keeping an eye on her…

But while Carter rallies SG-1 to Cassie’s aid, events on Atlantis are going from bad to worse. Faced with a deadly plague and a computer virus that is shutting down the entire city, it looks like Colonel Sheppard’s team will provide rich pickings for the in-coming Wraith hive ship.

But sometimes events galaxies apart are connected in unexpected ways – and help comes from the most surprising of places. In this action-packed story, Sabine Bauer brings together the heroes of Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis in the fight of their lives…

I guess there is no need to say how impressed I am at your dedication in updating the series.

I've thought of a name change, but can't think of a name, so will remain with my odd little moniker, in the vain hope SGA comes back ;)

Good score on the books!

Oh, I miss watching Stargate Atlantis sooo much, it was such a breath of fresh air. Anyways, for whomever saw it, it helps a lot in understanding what's going on in the world right now in regards to UFO disclosure, though at the time it might have looked like a fairytale. Well not to me, I enjoyed every second and I learned so much of it. Thank you for being part of it, noone could have played a better role than you did! Looking forward to Atlantis rising again, metaphorically or not

I do too........every Friday night I think
"WE should be tuning into SGA now"

Thankyou for letting us know. I've been chasing the paperbacks of SGA, but I refuse to pay upwards of $80 for a book.

[identity profile] wraithfodder.livejournal.com 2011-10-24 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
I did pay $80 or so for a book, but it was a medical/surgical book so hence, full of stuff. A paperback, no matter how much I'd like to read it, can't do it!

Thanks! I was beginning to wonder if they'd given up on the Legacy books!! Well, okay, not seriously - but it seems a long time since the last one was published!

THANKS! It's good to have another source of reference.

Also for those interest Jo Graham co-writer for book 1 of the Legacy series and writer of book 2 updates on her LJ. She gives updates ongoing as to progress in regards to how MGM is moving along and actual release times as she gets the info. She is also great in giving insight into the characters, little bits from the book if you like to be spoiled a little. Just add her to your FL and you are good to go!

I found some of the SG1 books boring (I know, sacrilege!) and stopped buying them but I might start getting the ebooks (for when I get my iPad).

[identity profile] wraithfodder.livejournal.com 2011-10-27 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I only got the SGA books. Most of the SG1 books just didn't appeal to me, but one was good (friend recommended).

Couldnt agree more with that, very attractive article

So glad to hear that Exogenesis is going to be available for Kindle. I haven't been willing to shell out $$$ for the paperback edition on ebay/amazon. At least there's the Legacy Series to read since it looks like SGA isn't coming back.
