Thank you for the tip. Valhalla didn't really catch my interest, but I'm curious about Dead End. I can't find a summary anywhere.

But didn't Sally Malcolm say that they would wait and see if SGU was popular before starting on novels for the show? *tilts head* But I'm glad that I'm not interested in SGU otherwise I would be rather miffed that Swallow is writing the novelization. His books have been my least favorites in both series :(

ETA: I just wonder what happened with the SGA novel "The Internal Darkness" by Kevin Hosey. Was it scrapped or just pushed waaaaaay back?

I think the SGU novelization (easier than writing a brand new fic, I guess) is part of a publicity push for the show. That's all I can think of. Not sure about "Internal Darkness." Shall have to research.

I brought one home from the library, don't even recall the title now; found it mediocre at best.
I later checked on Amazon and they seem to be getting very mixed reviews.
I will stick with my ff right now which IMO is better written.

Since I rarely buy paperbacks, and SGA ones come out a few times a year, I'm okay with buying them. Some are good, some are not. It is a mixed bag. I haven't bought the SG1 ones, and after reading the novelizations of the SG1 pilot and the SGA pilot, I will be passing on the SGU pilot. The books just don't add much to what is oncreen, alas.

I wish they would make up their minds for the release dates. I pre - ordered Brimstone from Barnes and Noble and they have it listed as coming out on Sept 25.

Thanks for the update! I have bought all the SGA novels that are available as Kindle edition and have enjoyed them, some more than others, but all in all, liked them.

Now if they can get the rest of the novels on Kindle!! I have been clicking on "Tell the Publisher! I’d like to read this book on Kindle" button like crazy and also emailing the publisher on the website! *sigh* Maybe one day they will be available as Kindle!

Thanks for the update. I pre-ordered a bunch of SG-1 and SGA novels months ago but all I've received so far is...nothing. Sigh. The SG-1 trilogy won't be published and they keep changing the publication dates for all the other books. I'm suffering from Stargate withdrawal.

I'm getting really fed up with Amazon UK Dead End an Brimstone have been on pre order since Feb/Mar of this year, an were susposed to be deilvered Jul an Aug then it went to Sept now its supposed to be Oct but one of them is NOW Dec "grrrr". I dont think they actually know to be honest.

An Hunt & Run thats supposed to be Feb 2010, I'll believe that when it happens.

An SGU book already OMFG thats annoying, its about time the reprinted The Choosen, Halcyon an Exogeneis I even signed up for newsletter with SG novels an still you cant hold of those 3 books its very frustrating they just keep saying there looking into the possibility of getting them. The mere word SGU makes me wana spite feathers, you can tell I'm a happy bunny over the idea " ha ha".

The SGA books are now the only way to get SGA fix an wish they would pull there bloody finger out an not muck around SGU first, oh well thats my rant over " ha ha" bar humbug

Okay, speaking from a totally non-fan point of view, I can understand why new print runs on SGA novels have not been done. They have to do *thousands* in each print run, and Tv tie-ins, no matter how popular, do not sell a ton. Meanwhile, SGu will be brand-new and will probably sell decently on a curiosity factor if nothing else.

However, I *do* understand your dismay (for lack of better word) over not being able to get those three books. I know you're not the only one who can't find 'em.

Ummm there is something wrong with the SGA books listed. Book #11 is already out under the title "Angelus" I know this because I have it.
