Stargate Atlantis: Inane Joe Flanigan surfing tidbit + Michael Shanks and his snake

Snipped from the July 25th entry of Joe Mallozzi's blog: “…..when we return on Monday. By then, I’ll be well-rested, tanned, and the proud owner of a French bulldog (who we’re hoping to pick up late Sunday afternoon). As it turns out, I’ll be in good company. Turns out Mr. Flanigan owns a Frenchie as well, and has actually had occasion to take it surfing….” Don't think this will turn up on Stargate Atlantis ;)

I've seen dogs surf (on TV shows) but never bulldogs.

…and Michael Shanks' epic herpetological movie, MEGASNAKE, airs on SciFi on July 28th (this Saturday!) [Corrected to August 25th, darn, so far away] So if you missed getting to Comic-Con, you can watch him in what will probably be another forgettable giant CGI snake flick, but it did get him his green card to work in the States… I suspect the movie will be AWFUL but that won’t stop me from watching it.

Not even going to TOUCH that double-entendre.

Are you sure Megasnake airs this Saturday? I don't see it on the Sci Fi schedule... thankfully I'll be back from Comic Con early so if it's on, I'll see it. :)

Ah, the article was wrong. Sands of Oblivion is on this Saturday. Yup, Megasnake is at the end of AUgust. Thanks for pointing out. Made a correction.

Huh, I kinda recall Joe saying it was a British Bulldog he owns...*shrug*...with an rather ewww-some story about how her tongue doesn't fit in her mouth, and dries out when she sleeps...

Total doggie TMI...

I don't recall if he talked about his dog at the convention I saw him at (NJ-Nov 06). I knew he had a dog, but that was about it.

He has a *giggles* Chihuahua as well... *howls with laughter*

It still makes me laugh imagining him walking that, and protesting to anyone who saw him in a manly voice that it's his wife's...

The way I heard it Joe has several dogs. He has an English bulldog (or bull terrier) AND a French bulldog. I know he used to have a rottweiler and of course there's his wife's chihuahua. With three kids and all those dogs their house must be in a constant state of chaos.

Good grief. Three boys and all those dogs??

Hahaha, I remember Joe talking about his wife's Chihuahua. "The damn thing likes me!" Hhahaa, ooh, poor Joe.

I love dogs. We have 5 dogs at our house.

But Chihuahua's are like little rats. Big dogs are better.

I tend to like the scifi movies cause if your bored at home on a Saturday you can get a great laugh out of them. 8-D
