40 Brand new photos from season 5 Stargate Atlantis!

The Los Angeles Times took 40 behind the scenes photos from Stargate Atlantis and have posted them on their site. I've posted the links for specific actor photos under the cut. Nice shots of Joe Flanigan, Jason Momoa and more, and really, not very spoilerish, so look to your heart's content :)

Oh, wow! I love these and you've made it much, much easier to scan through and find the pretty.

I *had* to find out if they had Joe pictures, and I was quite happy and wow, the Rachel shots were gorgeous! This definitely fills the void now that MGM isn't doing any promo shots for season 5 (as in cast shots).

Oh, they aren't doing any at all? What a shame. I rather enjoyed their photoshopped manipulations of the team.

It's kind of like they're trying to kill the show, eh?

I suppose we should be grateful they're not going to photoshop them into plastic models. Oh wait, I can use the action figures! They're cheap, don't demand breaks, and won't complain to the union if I toss 'em to the cat... I see... ;)

Thanks for organizing these! I want to know what's going on in that one shot of Rachel and Joe - she's laughing and JF looks like a bug just crawled down his shirt.

That second photo of David is, well, I don't know what it is. I had to look really hard at it. His eyes are odd and the shape of his head is different from that angle.

The photos of Jewel reminds me of something I noticed the first time I saw Jewel with an earpiece and then I notived it with Amanda in Atlantis. They both wear their earpieces in their right ear. Everyone from the original expedition wears their earpiece in their left ear. It must be personal preference, but it's just interesting the 2 "replacements" both wear them in a different ear than the others.

Maybe it does mean somthing and it's supposed to imply that the 2 of them are wearing a newer batch of earpieces.

I wonder if the earpiece is determined by if the actor is right or left handed? Hmm.. Okay, I'm not the only one who thought that shot of David was strange.

You are right, that last pic just killed my vision of the "evil" wraith! Wraiths drink coke apparently and they do get tired! lol

Ooh, the the two David photos...especially the last one!!

Loved all the photos, and the Wraith drones at the end there made me LOL!!

Going to go back to staring at Rodney dressed in black (guh) and the other full fac pic (guh again)!!

Oh yes, I visit JM's blog, but don't read much of it (not into food, or fans posturing in their comments;), but do look at pretty pictures if he puts them up.

Is it terrible that I only went through the Joe photos? The one w/ Rachel he looks relaxed. He's looking a bit tired in the rest, isn't he? Maybe this requires a repeat viewing? :P

yeah, you gotta be tall to be a wraith. i'm out. I remember that anecdote. andee, who plays the lady wraiths, approached joe and his wife and his wife is like "who is this lady?" and Joe didn't recognize her until she went "on your knees, food!" and he we "oh honey, she's a wraith" or something like that. it was very funny. i'm sure someone typed it up somewhere.
