As I mentioned on yahoo sgahc, Joe M said in his blog they had trouble casting Larrin (I think they probably wanted someone with some stunt experience). I guess they did think about Gina Torres (Zoe), but she wasn't available (I think if they could have casted her, she would have been a lot more believeable, not to mention less of the typical bimbo they get trying to seduce Sheppard).
Interesting there was no mention of "hey. we have this gene therapy.."
