Well, it’s over, and I was going to luxuriate and watch it at 9:00pm, until the power company decide to plunge us into pitch black. Gee, thanks a lot. Besides missing EATG, my Word document I was working on went poof when the power went. Grrrr.

Okay, I quite enjoyed this episode...
One tidbit, not spoilerish. Sheppard tells McKay he once (really, just once) flew a V-22 Osprey. That's a bit chopper, a VTOL (vertical take off and landing) chopper - http://www.navair.navy.mil/v22/ - I keep wondering, hmm, why just once? If you learn to fly one of those.... whoa....

I haven't posted much about the last several episodes, I guess, cuz I'm too busy just burning my tapes to nubs rewatching them. I LOVED "Common Ground" and "Phantoms," both great Shep whump episodes, and Rodney and his sister in 'McKay and Mrs. Miller". Whoa! Man, they got the sibling arguing down pat! :)
Meanwhile, I sit here now going ... now what? The SciFi channel is basically bereft of anything I NEED to see. Sure, I'll watch Eureka, check out Dr. Who (but admit, I have a big fondness for the last actor who played Who and the new guy just doesn't do much for me if the ads are any indication). But anyway... THE RETURN.
It rocked! It kicked ass! etc. etc. The ONLY thing I absolutely, positively detested was "To be continued." GRRRRRRRRRRRRR...................... I can't wait till the Canadian movie channel starts showing it as I will just *have* to get my paws on tapes, dvds, something, somehow!!!
Think I'll try a review of sorts, since I have to keep an eye on the kitty, who is finally coming down off the drugs (he had some surgery done today). So when he comes home, he staggers around like a drunk and the dog sees him and try to take advantage of him (yes, the dog and cat are on VERY good terms, ahem, cough cough). But now I can actually see the color of his irises instead of big black orbs.
Onward to SG1...

Just a little bit of reviewing stuff.
First SciFi showed The Science of Stargate, a year or more old psuedo-stargate-science-for-dummies type special that Amanda Tapping did a good job of narrating, although the info was old (as the show was from the UK) but the parasite stuff was neat, if not a primer. If you want the real dirt on parasites, read Parasite Rex. :)
