Whoopi Goldberg brings to morning radio the energy, the humor, and the fun that has defined her career as one of Hollywood's most recognized talents. Chris Mathews - of “Hardball” & “The Chris Mathews” show, discuss’ new book “Life's a Campaign”
Concierge Michael Fazio joins us with some great information.

UPDATE!  I wrote 'em about spelling David's name wrong, and they corrected it and wrote me back. The audio is saved on  www.whoopi.com for 7 days. They usually have the daily audio uploaded by approximately 1pm each day after the show. You can access that at: http://www.whoopi.com/audio.html  (big thanks to Glenn Baker for his warm and timely response).

 
UPDATE #2: Go to the second link above, and choose Wednesday, Hour 4, for David's interview. It's very short, and fortunately, right up front on the download.

He should be on within the next few minutes (I hope). If nothing else, it WILL be available online by tomorrow for a whole week, and I plan to transcribe or at least pull off some pertinent bits.

Thanks! Yeah, I saw that my comment appeared at exactly the same time as comments saying he was about to come on! So I did hear him.

I thought we'd get more than five minutes, though. But, hey, it's 5 am his time, isn't it?

Maybe the show will pick up a few new fans! And A Dog's Breakfast will sell more, so that people who worked on it might actually get paid (a minor consideration, right?)--and David will make more movies!

Very short interview (darn)

David Hewlett was on Wake Up with Whoopi (Golberg) on the radio on October 31st at approximately 8:00 a.m.

So it’s 5:00 a.m. for David and the call saved him from “early morning diaper duty.”

Called it “Sci-fi for the non-nerds”
Said the show has a great sense of humor

Talked about A Dog’s Breakfast, that it cost $120K, had his sister play his sister, his dog play his dog :)

Helen – playing a “rather nasty role” in it, Ashley Judd’s ex-husband! Whoopi commented that Ashley Judd is always in movies where some guy is trying to kill her and David said his mother would always say why can’t he play a nice guy in the movies (as he often plays the psycho killer).

Thanks for the short run down of it. A)Her show doesn't air in St. Louis B)My computer and monitor aren't getting along on acknowledging the speakers. (I plugged the speaker cable back in wrong after I took the machine down to clean it out over the weekend. :p)

Thanks so much for being proactive and getting the info about the interview. I was listening to the show this morning, and the timing sucked - I had to go to a meeting just as the portion with DH was going to start. I am very happy that I'll be able to catch the interview later. Thanks again!!
