I might be a little harsh but he did want to begin the eppy from the bat with Elizabeth which would have really taken away and possible suspense at all about what was going on.
I think my main issue is I love Joe M as a show runner but he needs to stop writing. "The Tower", "Irresponsible" were really, really bad.
I think his stuff in season 4 is better, but he still suffers from major pacing issues in "Reunion" and "Travelers" could have been more than what he did with it.
That being said I'm a big supporter of the guy, love his blog, I just think he should leave the writing to others.
As I said in my LJ I think this was one of his best scripts to date, but it still had issues.
