Of course Kavanagh hadn't intended to self-destruct the base. I think the fainting isn't going to go down well. Caught in an emergency situation and he passes out (this is his second time) so that might actually qualify as a 'condition' that would keep him out of the field, so to speak. I'm guessing he's pretty bright or else he would been tossed from the program.

This episode, although fun, sure pointed out a lot of security flaws.
