Yeah I watched a good documentary about the girl with 8 limbs in India - also worshipped by her village as a reincarnation of the goddess Lakshmi.
It's a shame when these defects happen in rural areas.. in the Western world, we see such a child and know it's a rare, unfortunate, case of conjoined twin gone awry and we would look immediaetly at medical treatment... in these rural parts of India, for example, they worship the child for its vague resemblence to a god or goddes.. and don't have access to any kind of sophisticated medical treatment.
