You know, you turn on the news, perhaps expecting to hear about the drought in Australia, tornadoes in the US south, storm surge in northern California, or climate change, but what smacks me in the face?
The TomKat wedding!
No, not two cats, but that annoyingly-overexposed couple of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. And they're going to spend $9 million on the wedding?? Perhaps my ears were clogged. Wouldn't any amount like that be better spent on saving starving people somewhere - anywhere - rather than stuffing celebrities' faces (half of 'em probably throw it up later anyway<G>).
