Of course, after I go to sleep folks start posting)

Accounts of the con and I'm sure there are more to come.

some excerpts, go to link for full report
"Sadly, Michael Shanks bailed out of the SG1 panel for reasons unspecified, but thanks to Chris Judge and his cell-phone, Lexa Doig received a boisterous greeting from the crowd to pass along to her absentee husband...who was reported to have been on the porcelin throne at the time of the call."

"Joe Flannigan is hoping to get a chance to direct (and tried to enlist the support of the crowd on his behalf) but so far he hasn't been given the approval. We may get a story later in season 4 that finally sheds some light on Shepherd's backstory, based upon some story ideas that Joe submitted himself."

"The crowd roared and hooted and cheered and gayly waved little savecarson.com flags, distributed earlier by Michelle from the San Francisco Bay Area, in support of returning Paul MGillion to the Atlantis cast. His popular Scottish character, Dr. Carson Beckett, was offed last year. Fans are hoping Atlantis producers will resurrect Beckett if the series is renewed for a fifth year. (To be honest, I sympathize with the fans on this one. I liked the Atlantis doc and so did Maureen Ryan, the Chicago Tribune television critic who called."

This critic also nicely put up a 45 minute sound file of the SG1 panel (sigh, no SGA wavs yet) so you can listen to the questions (considering the size of the room, unless you're up front, video would be worthless).

No Twitters from David Hewlett... must have been a long dinner! ;)

More fan reports, brief but fun to read:

http://mneiai.livejournal.com/

http://winter-elf.livejournal.com/ (which mentions stupid questions, which also confirms a friend's comments on the SG panels that very 'lame' questions were asked at both panels).

http://stargate-sg1-solutions.com/blog/?p=911 talks about the release date of the SG1 movies (Spring 2008) and has a photo of the Stargate bus ad. Promises more news.

http://dajaje.livejournal.com/ has up a photo of Joe Flanigan.

Ah, suffered through an hour of FRANKENFISH and caught the Stargate Atlantis season 4 "Travelers' ad...

Breakdown of ad. Sheppard is beyond bars when Larrin, the Traveler's leader, comes in to pay a visit.

Announcer : Now, an exclusive peek at the new season of Stargate Atlantis.

Larrin : You surprise me, Sheppard.
Sheppard : Well, as long as I didn't disappoint you. (smirks)
Larirn : Oh no, I knew you'd make...some sort of a move. I just wasn't expecting anything quite so...  (pauses, looks up to side)
Sheppard : Clever? Creative? (he says with smirk)
Larrin : Reckless! (she sounds really pissed)

Crappy screencaps below the cut

More fan coverage of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis at Comic-Con

http://alchemise.livejournal.com/40203.html
photos from both panels

Hey, apparently Alexis Cruiz (Ska'ra) was at the con!
http://aidara.livejournal.com/263947.html

This blog barely mentions Stargate in passing, and I think they mistakenly wrote Stargate for Star Wars, but it's worth looking at just for the guy in costume as a poster board, or something. I mean, the guy is decked head to knee in flyers. It must be seen to be believed.

Oh oh oh, yes, I should have counted on G4 to put up this video - yes, POULTRYGEIST! Perhaps one of the cheesiest killer zombie chicken movies every made.

Teryl Rothery fans can check out the official Babylon 5 site for the trailer of The Lost Tales - Voices in the Dark. Whether she's in any of the promo material site, sorry, don't know.

Meanwhile, U.S. fans (sorry, everybody else is out of luck) can join http://www.stargatehub.com/ - they promise exclusive material,e tc. if you sign up. That is, if you can sign up. The site has some problems.

And it appears there are some exclusive interviews to be had!

http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=63056307&blogID=292946315

I'm delivering on my promises, people! Yesterday at Comic-Con I recorded one-on-one interviews with Stargate Atlantis stars David Hewlett, Joe Flanigan, Jewel Staite and producer/writer Joseph Mallozzi.

I also recorded a press conference featuring Ben Browder, Chris Judge, Amanda Tapping, David Hewlett, Jewel Staite, Robert C. Cooper, Martin Wood, Joseph Mallozzi and Gary Jones.

All of this Stargate goodness will be coming to you soon. I think I was the only podcaster in the room, so spread the word about this exclusive podcast content.

So, looks worthy of a bookmark!

Monsters and Critics at http://smallscreen.monstersandcritics.com/features/article_1336049.php/Friday_Comic-Con_report_Machine_gun_gams_and_props_for_Boba_Fett_said of the two hours straight of Stargate panels:

"Stargate: SG-1 talked about the end of SG-1 and the upcoming two SG-1 movies (Produced by Fox Home Entertainment) with Amanda Tapping, Ben Browder,  Christopher Judge, Robert Cooper (Executive Producer/Director), and Martin Wood (Director).

The panel showed a clip of the upcoming movie "The Ark of Truth," and then a long question-and-answer period, where more swag was doled out.  Both Stargate panels were moderated by Gary Jones.

The Atlantis panel began immediately after and was attended by Amanda Tapping (Sam Carter, who is moving full time to Atlantis beginning this season), David Hewlett (Rodney McKay), Joe Flanigan (John Sheppard), Jewel Staite (Jennifer Keller), Joe Mallozzi (Executive Producer/Writer), Nora O’Brien (VP, Original Programming, SCI FI), Charlie Cohen (Senior Executive VP, MGM Studios), Martin Wood (Director), and Robert Cooper (Executive Producer/Writer). "

and click on link above for comments from Joe Mallozzi.

I knew it, see, I knew it. SciFi.com hasn't stuck up anything Stargate Atlantis (or SG-1) related and Joe Mallozzi beat 'em to it. On his second blog entry at http://josephmallozzi.blogspot.com/2007/07/july-28-2007.html, he talks about the panel and the con, so just skip over there.

The following two photos of Joe Flanigan and David Hewlett are snerched from his site and available in much larger format, so, wait, where did everybody go??

More fun stuff.

http://www.tgdaily.com/content/view/33121/118/ covers Comic-Con. This link has a nice closeup of Jewel Staite.

And yes, finally, SciFi.com has put up their panel on SGA!

http://www.scifi.com/comiccon/video/index.php?vid=135215

It's 35 minutes. Our questions will be answered!

UPDATE: Apparently only U.S. fans can view this video. No, I have no idea why. I mean, crap, people still laptops from government facilities but fans can't watch actors goof about on a TV show??? Anyway, use the NEXT post feature and you'll find a transcript of the panel.
