I have the sinking feeling that we’ll either get replicators again, or worse, two hours of tying up the Michael storyline, something that should have been taken care of long ago (like mold under a carpet). Yes. I share your concerns!
I too thought the show was never as good as it could have been (and not as good as SG-1), with increasingly weak writing. But I love the characters, and they've had some great episodes, and I'm saddened that we've only got fourteen left (and I'm not sure how many will be good, let alone great--no, don't tell me, let me keep my expectations minimal).
I gotta say one of the best parts of Stargate Atlantis has been the fandom. Can I modify that statement? I gotta say one of the best parts of Stargate Atlantis has been the fandom. That's what I'm sorriest about; it's not my show, but it is for some of my friends.
At least I'm confident we'll keep writing, and the fandom won't die!
