I once used something that was supposed to give me copper highlights, but instead turned my hair bright, carroty orange. Pretty funny at the time, but thank God I didn't have to work the next day and the lady who did my hair could fit me in. I've stuck to temporary dyes or professional work ever since.
Despite all the jokes about Canada, I never realized they didn't have professional hair colorists! ;-)
