I know what you're saying, I really do, but in my opinion McKeller in season 5 DID take away from the team. It felt rushed to me and silly and time consuming (and I'm also speaking about eps that haven't aired yet) whereas the team as a whole was noticeably absent. I mean, honestly, episode thirteen of season 4, McKay's proposing to Katie Brown and in episode 6 of season 5 he's telling a different woman he's "...loved her for a very long time?" I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!
I miss my Shep and McKay interaction this season - nothing much after The Shrine -- and I hate that Keller gets three episodes to Shep's one, when really, I'd rather see him or Ronon or Teyla. Sadly, Rodney's episodes seem to be tied up with Keller so there's not much room for anyone else.
I detest the stupid "love traingle" concept of teammates vying for the same woman. Also,I've come to loathe the McKeller "hints" thrown into episodes like The Seed and Outsiders just to make sure viewers can't ignore it even if they wanted too!
I feel this entire season revolved around McKeller and it really bugs me.
