I don't know. :( I've been asking myself that repeatedly. I've been trying to do a lot of self-examination to figure out why I've felt so awful about the show recently because I do feel terrible that I am so angry over it. I adored this show.
But I get the feeling that the initial scripts were written before the plan to cancel SGA and go forward with SGU was finalized. S&R, The Seed, Broken Ties and The Shrine...but then the quality starts to drop precipitously and we get all this Keller junk shoved in and I honestly start to wonder if TPTB realized 'hey, this is it' and started writing what they wanted and decided they didn't have to try and write for the *fans* any longer. It's like the token 'throw them a bone' just stopped altogether. If you weren't in love with Rodney and/or Keller, then too fucking bad, know what I mean? :(
