You make a good point. It is almost like someone who was fighting for Sheppard, Ronon and Teyla 'behind the scenes' quit. And to be honest, I can't say as I blame him.

It's just a shame.

The core team cast got along so well, and care for each other so much, and had such great chemistry, and TPTB threw it all away. I have such a hard time getting past how shabbily Joe was treated as the lead character and especially this season. I don't think I've ever seen a show in all my years of loving TV and watching, where the lead was dealt so poorly on-screen.

Yes, their love for Rodney was well known. :(

What I have a hard time understanding is how the people that wrote SG-1 so well, for Jack O'Neill and even did a great job of balancing the characters, could turn around and fail so much with SGA. But I've heard talk about Peter Deluise having moved on and Robert Cooper, who has done a good job of writing balanced episodes also, was not very involved, etc. It was turned over to people less capable and it shows.

I'm just hoping beyond sense that Joe F gets a good show where he is given the material he deserves. I don't think there was a lot of love lost between Joe F. and the producers/writers of SGA.
