But I've heard talk about Peter Deluise having moved on and Robert Cooper, who has done a good job of writing balanced episodes also, was not very involved, etc. It was turned over to people less capable and it shows.
I've been wondering about Deluise's departure for quite a while. He left without much, if anything, being said about it. I know SG-1 was shutting down, but he'd also been working on SGA too.
He was also a bit of a fan favorite because they knew his work as an actor and he seemed a bit of a fanboy and continuity nut, which hardcore fans like to see. Most of the writers now act like they hate their own show and should move on.
PDL also seemed to at least try to balance things out, at least at first. I think maybe he was tired of fighting and moved on.
