Someone once stated Keller is the Mary-Sue of Atlantis and I think that completely nails it on the head. And also explains why so many don't like her. People don't like Mary-Sue's.
I like Jewel Staite but I don't like Keller. I want to like her but the bad writing done for her by the TPTB make that extremely difficult. Main point being that to me she's totally unbelievable as CMO. Age aside, she just has no authority presence or how you call it. She just doesn't come across a CMO who knows what she is doing and really is in charge of en the entire medical department. I would sooner believe Nurse Marie to be boss because despite her very minimal part she at least comes across as a capable someone. How did Keller get where she is with all those self-confidence issues? You don't get to climb the ladder by constantly doubting yourself.
Keller also has had zero character growth. She's no different then from when she first appeared. We never learn anything new and interesting about Keller. Don't even know what her medical specialty is. I'm guessing geneticist but I don't think it's ever been confirmed.
"Identity" does look Keller-centric but I still hold hopes for it as it is written by Carl Binder. And I've always liked his episodes. At least he usually remembers that Sheppard is supposedly lead and supposed to have decent screentime.
