I've maybe seen 20 minutes of Firefly many years (mostly Nathan Fillion) so can't comment on Kaylee, but I have seen her do serious in a Lifetime movie (sorta of angsty weepy chickflick stuff) and she did it well. I just don't know what went wrong on SGA...oops, wait, the writing ...
