Word! Gero's churlish, childish attitude, sarcasm and contempt toward anyone who disagrees with him tick me off. Yes, as you said, it is "their" show and they can write what they like, but they and Gero specifically do need to respect that fandom is not monolithic in Gero's own image and there will always be varying opinions. I am ticked for the reasons you listed above, especially the second class treatment of Sheppard, the LEAD, Teyla and Ronon. Gero seems unprofessional to me, admittedly writing for his favorite people/friends - David and Jewel. So if Joe Flanigan doesn't hang out with you, he isn't worth writing for? I wish Ken Cuperus was still on the staff and that he and Alan and Carl could have handled the writing duties. I don't know what happened this year that all logic, fairness and common sense just flew out the window. I do think that they believed it was the last year and they, TPTB, were going to do what they wanted with the characters they wanted, everyone else be damned. And maybe get in a little practice for 90210. So sad and aggravating. Joe F., Jason and Rachel deserved much better.
