I'm not really in the loop about how Flanigan may have challenged the writers - but certainly Daniel didn't get minimized because of Shanks' decisions, did he?
RDA as Daniel was certainly news to me :)
I'm glad that JFlan was able to get as much across of his concept of the character as he did.
