I adored Keller in "Adrift," "Doppleganger," and "Tabula Rasa." I actually liked her better than Beckett. She had the potential to be Janet Frazier 2.0. And then it all went away.
My hatred of Keller is based solely in how terribly she's written. The writers focus on showing how hot she is and who she's sleeping with, not showing her as a competent doctor or even an appealing person. I agree that Gero (and Mallozi) are using McKay as a means to get Keller/Jewel/Kaylee vicariously and it's wrecked the show. Still, even with the nastiness, there's still Ronon, Zelenka, and Teyla who rock my world: I still care, and so I fume. And use my TeylaEyeroll icon.
