Did the minders REALLY have stopwatches? Wow! A new addition to the Creation lineup. Isn't it amazing how Creation can take all the fun out of autograph lines and dessert parties? Because they always sell too many tickets so they can wring every last dollar out of the fans. Then they have too many fans and too few guests to see them in the time alloted.
Also (and this is from talking to two of the actors, who shall remain nameless), Creation promises them that they will only have to attend an event for, say 60 minutes, and then rushes them through to stick to their "schedule." If Creation was doing their first con, I can see them having scheduling problems, but by now they KNOW how long it takes to sign X number of autographs or chat with X number of guests.
Your table game sounds like fun and a good idea. Something to break the ice a bit when the actor sits down. It sounds like you had some other great fans to talk to during the waits.
