Patriotism. SG-1 and SGA were patriotic in their base. I was engaged by the respect and honor shown in SG-1 (I'm from an Air Force family, ya know, the Army Air Corps right on thru to the present day). And NO Shepperd's hair didn't bother me cos I've seen AF guys in way worse shape after six months in Iraq, let alone an entire year in another galaxy LMAO!
