Your LJ icon is perfect for this situation. Yes, the changes (confirmed and possible) are depressing. I'm still watching the show (videotape since the nits still haven't released season 2 on DVD - just what is the holdup on that??) and event though I know Shep is safe on the show, I don't like seeing the other cast members tinkered with, especially when you look at the show and see how well the existing characters interact with each other.
Ah, sigh. Yeah, only a TV show, but my favorite. Now if they bumped off anyone on a CSI show (with the exception of William PEtersen or Gary Sinise), I'd just go "ah, salary dispute" and live with it.
