Joe Flanigan to guest star on "Warehouse 13"

Okay, it's not Stargate Atlantis, but it IS science fiction, so I find that a plus.

We’ve just heard from SCI FI that Joe Flanigan (Stargate Atlantis) and Ivan Sergei (Charmed, Crossing Jordan) have landed guest starring roles on the new series Warehouse 13. The new original one-hour series stars Eddie McClintock, Joanne Kelly, Saul Rubinek, Allison Scagliotti and previously announced guest star CCH Pounder. The series is currently in production in Toronto and will premiere Tuesday, July 7 with a two-hour pilot starting at 9:00PM.

Warehouse 13 follows two Secret Service agents who find themselves abruptly transferred to a massive, top-secret storage facility in windswept South Dakota which houses every strange artifact, mysterious relic, fantastical object and supernatural souvenir ever collected by the U.S. government. The Warehouse’s caretaker Artie (Rubinek) charges Pete (McClintock) and Myka (Kelly) with chasing down reports of supernatural and paranormal activity in search of new objects to cache at the Warehouse, as well as helping him to control the warehouse itself.

Joe Flanigan will be playing the handsome and wealthy Jeff Weaver, whose charm captures Myka’s interest, but he finds himself under Pete and Myka’s scrutiny when a sculpture on which he bid vanishes in an impossible heist.

Okay, he'll probably be the bad guy (that's my guess - I've watched too much TV) but this explains why Joe is currently in Toronto! I was going to give the series a look-see, but now WILl watch to see who else from SGA also appears.

Since its new part me wonders if this the show that offered him a role that he turned down becauseof the 6 year contract and the fact he'd have to fly back and forth again.

Maybe it's just because I'm having a down day, but this kind of worries me. Whenever actors go from being a star of a show to doing guest stars, its rare to see them in a main role again. I want to see more Joe, I really do, but as a regular character and not by chance as a guest star.

I wasn't sure if I would check this show out or not (tend not to be home on Tuesday nights) but if Joe's gonna guest star I guess I'll have to watch. Now that's stunt casting I can get behind. Hey if the Burn Notice guy is one of the producers maybe Joe will show up on Burn Notice like Michael did?

I too would love to see him on a major network like CBS with a series that lasts where we can see him every week. I hope for the best for all the SGA actors.

I just wish he could land a really good series role where his
acting talent can really shine
I believe at times it was kept in tow on SGA....save for
Conversion and a few others, but overall kind of under wraps
IMO.......
