Yes, I'm watching a reality show, cuz there's nothing new on, I'm paying bills, and decided to see Lou Diamond Phillips on NBC's "I'm a Celebrity.. Get Me Out of Here!" I only hope he wins as he seems to be the most level-headed of the crew. I must admit, if I were there, Heidi and Spencer would be shoved into a lake filled with hungry reptiles. Argh. I'm blind! Good lord, did Stephen Baldwin fall asleep and get attacked by graffiti artists? Anyway, alas, they can't do away with celebrities, although I sure as heck can't see this show doing any good for the aforementioned idiots (Heidi and Spencer). Hm, perhaps having done several campy/crappy flicks for SciFi Channel has steeled LDP or this nonsense. Plus he looks like he's the only one in pretty decent shape.

Meanwhile, I'm still working on my Stargate Atlantis Fan Fic Recommendations page, cuz I was woefully behind, by, er, oh, all of 2009. Plus i printed out some and said "gotta read!" And I've discovered a bunch of bookmarks on two different PCs, plus links/self-contained stories off the SGAHC Yahoo group - and if you're a whumper, you had definitely better be on that list!  But that will take forever but I want to at least get it in better shape before sending it off. And then figure out how to send it since it's now a 30+ page WORD document.

Lastly, you must visit this site - http://opentravel.com/blogs/ten-most-unreal-landscapes-on-earth/ - which has very cool photos. I love the 'gate to hell' - I mean, looking at these photos makes me think about writing SGA whump fanfic!

Dude, not even for him would I watch that show.

It would hurt my brain too much.

I hope you are recuperating nicely.

Oh he's not doing "I'm a Celebrity..." is he? He is too good for that crap. I'm a little disappointed in him for agreeing to do it. Is he so desperate for work?

That show is HUGE over here, my Mum gets obsessed with it so I end up seeing odd bits (and hearing all about it) whether I want to or not. The Brit version is always full of no marks and losers, you've either never heard of them or their careers have been over for 20 years. It seems shagging a footballer and selling your story to the papers is qualification enough to be called a "celebrity" these days.

Thanks for the link, great photos. The BBC recently did a documentary series about Yellowstone, its another world but made me want to visit one day. They are currently doing a series on the South Pacific which you would love, its so beautiful and there are some really bizarre landscapes and even more bizarre animals.

Hey, I'm wondering, they are still filming the first 1/2 of SGU and Diamond is off doing Get me out of here. How can he if he is still a member of the cast of SGU?????? Do you think he is dead to them at SGU or are they working around his schedule and using Get Me Out of Here as publicity for SGU trying to bring the reality tv viewers into the SGU???? What do you think?

Here is why I love my DVR which holds 130 hours. I am recording the stupid Celebrity thing because of LDP. Who knows--I MIGHT want to see him in it if his character on SGU strikes my fancy. BUT I don't have to actually WATCH it now, because, YUCK! Please let us know when/if he leaves, so I can cease recording. LOL!

Also, have you seen the transcript from Joe's AXN chat?

Our planet is so interesting and beautiful, isn't it? We are so fortunate. Hopefully we humans won't screw it up any more than we already have! I saw that ABC is running a special tonight called 'Earth 2100' - a worst case scenario on what could happen to our lovely planet and our civilizations if we don't being making important decisions and changes going forward. -Diane
