This is great. I will add - "Don't forget that while the actors like meeting their fans, this is a job/paycheck for them." (A little cynical, but true). As far as money goes, it never hurts to overestimate how much you need, a rough budget is always good, and limit the time you spend in the dealers room. As far as food goes, packing granola bars, trail mix, or the like is always smart. If you're really sneaky you bring things you can make with hot water from the hotel room's coffee maker or kettle. Do come with a fairly flexible attitude - things run late, don't start on time etc. It's ok to take some time away from everything to decompress - there can be alot to take in.
