We're just waiting for the right opportunity," he said. "We want to be successful with it. The studio wants to be successful, and we really don't want to proceed with something in the wrong climate
He says the bad climate is financial, I say they never imagined that so many SGA fans would actually decide to cut all string with them. They pompously announced a year ago that we would "get over it" as has always been done in the past. So far yes, some have, but many have not, and those are lost customers. Assume your bad decisions Mr Cooper instead of blaming it on the financial situation.
If the financial climate was so bad, they would not have put $20 millions more than in SGA5 to produce the new show. By making it so expensive to begin with, and being is such a "bad financial climate" they are essentially telling everyone : enjoy this one, it won't last long.
I think Cooper is trying to appease the fans, but they might very well be too far gone. He says he's writing the script, but wasn't Malozzi doing that ? Trouble in paradize ? Trying to appease the many who can't stand Malozzi ? (Sorry, but my life got so much better after I stopped reading his blog, I can only assume it happened to others).
As far as I'm concerned they can keep their SGA movie and I really hope all the actors find great jobs that keep them really really busy, in fact too busy to have time to do a "potential maybe eventual if all turns right" movie.
And someone reminds Mr Cooper than in ten years it'll be too late to pretend the action is happening just at the end of the last horrible season, the actors will have aged ten years :p.
